Insomniac hasn't been truly great since they lost the rights to Spyro. Ratchet & Clank started out great, but then it dragged on too long. And Resistance...blah.Naughty Dog has been consistently amazing for years and years now.
Sucker Punch has done well with inFamous so far, and Sly Cooper was win.
I like Resistance =l

Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch fan clubs? I'd get in Insomniac and Sucker Punch in a heartbeat.

Then do it yourself. What, you think I am really not so lazy that I want to keep updating it? Quote the thing, add it, then post it (remove the quote code first so others can fix it). Sheesh, what part of collaborative effort do you people not understand?
K, after some thought, I've decided that the Master Sword is either:
Type XIIIc
...Or a new type, a subset of the XIII with a ricasso and pointed tip suitable for thrusting, but without the shortened grip of the XIIIb.
It's closest approximation is the XIIIa, seen below:
Add to a point and ricasso to the blade, and it'd be pretty much dead on. The only problem is the blade's cross section isn't hexagonal like the Master Sword's.
Seems like a stretch, but aside from those, the proportions of the blade and hilt are almost exact. The blades edges are even near parallel.
OR:
XXa
If the blade didn't taper, and the hilt were unwaisted, this sword would match as well. The cross section is even hexagonal. Unfortunately, it still lacks a ricasso, and as mentioned, the blade would need to remain paralell at the edges until near the tip.
Edit: Nvm, XXa does indeed cover the ricasso requirement.
@Scream: Or an arming sword, mainly 'cos its also called the knightly sword and used in conjunction with a shield. It's certainly not an arming sword. Arming swords do not resemble the design of the sword at all, and it's worth noting that either sword would or could be used with a shield. Hand and a half grip = bastard sword, the style of grip on the master sword.
Essentially, arming swords generally had a single handed grip, tapering blade, and lacked a ricasso.
Arming swords. I don't recall one ever having a ricasso, but I suppose it's possible. Note that the last example is XIII, and XIIIa is the image I used for XIIIc. So in some sense you could be close.
But yeah, single handed grip+no ricasso = wrong sword type.
