Woohoo, official off-topic thread!

I would definitely make the argument that you cannot control who or what you are attracted to. It's like I said though - it's whether or not, or how, you act on that attraction that you can control.

I also want to point out that pedophilia != child molestation, not necessarily. Molestation and rape are about power, not sex or attraction.

Bah, I don't buy the "deteriorating morality" thing. People 500 or 1000 years ago were just as bad and messed as we are now, if not more so.
Truth, it's a slippery slope fallacy in action.

There a limit to how far it can go, however. Eventually, it will be erased and started anew.

It's funny how different each of our own justices are...

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they allow disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children now are tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."

This quote is widely attributed to Socrates ๐Ÿ˜›

So people have been making the "morality is going downhill" claim for thousands of years. Obviously it hasn't caused the downfall of society yet.

Yep. I bet few people today could match the epic amounts of depravity that was at the apex of the Roman Empire.

Truth is relative.

But the slippery slope fallacy is still a lie.

I see that Socrates was an avid practitioner of the "Back in my days..."

I don't even remember what this was replying to anymore.

Ms. Marvel was saying that if two family members were to mess around with eachother, they would get one seriously deformed baby. I think you now know where I'm going with this.

And NemeSis brings back the incest.

...that is also not true. Over many generations of that sort of thing, it's more likely, but it doesn't just happen like that. Go take a biology class, please.

Can we just lay this subject to rest already?

Not necessarily, but there's a heightened chance. And seriously, enough with the incest already.

It is an interesting topic to discuss.

So...how 'bout them sports? 131

WATER sports?

Here's my take on incest: no baby, no foul. I think someone said that already, but here it is.

And the last 6 or so pages were just nasty, you guys.

Completely agree, on both parts.

A new Nintendo handheld system? Did anyone read this or am I late to the party?

You're late.
