Woohoo, official off-topic thread!

Deadliest Warrior is such a flawed show.

I hate that show so much

They got a few results right. This latest one was soooo savory.

Spartan destroyed the Samurai.

I doubt the Samurai would do as well as it did.

What was the break down, and how do they justify a Samurai beating a Viking? >_> I expect they made a formal apology.

When you think of the results, look at it like this. The Samurai's best shot of winning was by lucky longrange bow shots. Close range its not competitive at all, and the mock battle showed that too. The samurai got zero hits in and got two shotted.

They didn't mention the Samurai beating the Viking. At least I don't think so.

It wouldn't happen anyway, lol.

Edit: The Spartan missed with his javelin. When you rely on Javelins for a long range attack, you don't miss. Especially not because you overthrew it.

Poor samurai expert probably committed seppuku. lol

Anyway these were the stats from the viking fight:

Viking Samurai
Overall Kills: 478 522
Close Range: Great Axe: 134 Katana: 137
Mid Range: Long Sword: 175 Naginata: 171
Long Range: Spear: 92 Yumi: 114
Special Weapons: Shield: 77 Kanabo: 100

Close fight out of 1000, and I agree it is, but the Viking should have had the edge.

^wtf the formatting didn't come out the way I made it...

What is a Kanabo and why did it beat the Shield?

The katana comparison to the great axe is sad. ๐Ÿ˜ The katana barely scratched the chainmail.

Was asking about the break down with the Spartan, though, I saw the Viking episode.

Needs moar whips

The Spartan/Samurai stats will have to wait till its added to the wiki. I don't remember them off hand.

The Spartan got 527 wins out of 1000 though. I'm certain the longrange Yumi bow contributed the most for the Samurai as its close range weapons were absolutely useless against either the bronze cuirass or the shield.

lol well if it makes you feel I got raped my first game :#

Oh that.

Spear vs Naginata: draw
Javelin vs. Yumi bow(edge)
Short sword (xipho I think?) vs. Katana(edge)
Shield(edge) vs Kanabo club

Samurai got the edge in two and still lost.

It doesn't ๐Ÿ™

They based that katana test on it cutting through two pigs while the short sword cut through one. I find this stupid.

Alexander The Great vs Atilla the Hun to come in the future. any interest in that?
