The Death Star was meant to be the Empire's be-all end-all superweapon. A planet-destroying monstrosity standing as an unassailable testament to the Empire's absolute power.
The EU gives us the Sun Crusher, the Star Forge, and a dozen other weapons of such unbelievable power that they make the Death Star look like a child's toy.
That is simple disrespect for the original material.

X-play gave darksiders a 2 out 5 for being unoriginal... a whole lot of games right now are not original but inspired materials, meaning they should give games for now on 2 out of 5s. Its not like the game did anything wrong, had game killing glitches, or the what not but they gave it a 2 out of 5 simply because it was inspired by the games the creators mentioned in launch. The other reviewers understood this but X Play seems to not understand it at all.
They didn't complement it on its great quality voice acting, its comic book art, or the fact that it was a great achievement for a starting company.
Vigil wasn't trying to crap out a masterpiece on its first go, idiots. Hell, they even admit that it wasn't going to be a smash it on the start. They were just trying to bring Legend of Zelda to PS3 and 360 for those that don't have a wii or a DS.
this is why I stop watching X play all together because of their bullshit reviews.
Its funny how they never game Call of Duty games 2/5s for being a rip of medal of honor or basically every first person shooter before it. They never game God of war games a 2/5 for being a gladiator rip. They never game Mass effect a 2 for being a being a gears of war rpg. Hell they didn't even give Halo games a 2 for being a Wolfenstein and Doom rip.
But apparently Darksiders is isn't exempted from this.
So X-plays credibility just go flushed down a giant toilet.
also fun fact: Zelda wasn't the first game to do what it does. A old NES un named game inspired what we now now as Zelda. so I guess Zelda is a rip off of that?
