The reason I use an air conditioner in the first place is because...well, you try getting use to living in a house during the summer that has a tar-covered roof and I'm doing this not just for me but for my console. When you play a console like the 360 or PS3, chances are that while you play them when it's around 80 or 90 degrees, your console is gonna get overheated and will die.
Bit late to mention this but whatever.

So apparently, one of the tornadoes that hit here literally went right through the town my store is in. As in, over the store itself. When I finally got there, my coworker said that everything had been just pure white outside and he couldn't even see through the parking lot.
To say it's a bit of a mess here is an understatement. My street was completely flooded past the curb, as was pretty much my entire town. Thankfully we didn't lose power at my house, and there's only a tiny bit of water in the basement.

Don't know. Lots of power outages around here, lots of flooding (it's been raining and storming the past week straight), and there was an accident at the intersection by my work when I was leaving. Also a few fires from lightning hitting things.
We get some crazy weather here, but this is bad even by my standards. I've seen worse storms, but not often, and not since I was a kid and living further out from the city. Tornadoes usually die out before they've gotten this close to Chicago itself.

A small, enclosed area is going to have a higher temperature than the rest of the area around it. Lack of ventilation is what causes problems.
Most computers are going to run at an average temperature between 100-140 degrees with no problems.
