Your taste and experience in entertainment continues to perplex me, sir.

...

HOW.

No taste. I swear.

The ****? No taste because I said I never watched X-Files? >_> I based it on what it seemed to be like, kind of like how GK just based WH13.

Gah. I will never get used to that.

It's more a compendium of likes, dislikes, and choices than a single show, actually.

I refuse to call the current format Sci-Fi. I don't want it associated with how good the channel used to be.

Another Golden Age, huh?

Wow, I just got curious and discovered that the old official X-Files forum, which was my introduction to message boards back in like...1998, still exists.

I didn't watch Sci-Fi too much as a kid, but you knew it was always good for X-Files episodes and the funny-but-slightly-creepy "True abduction stories" shows.

Thanksgiving Day X-Files marathons on Sci-Fi basically made my year when I was a kid.

So, the new Pokemon are win. Every last one of them.

Ahh, Ennio Morricone. Good times. I am not really a fan of westerns, but I love Morricone's musical genius.

Indeed. Movies need to follow this format again. The build up from this soundtrack is just... amazing.

We still have similar, thankfully. Hans Zimmer in particular composes grand movie soundtracks. Funnily enough, his main theme for Madagascar uses very similar elements, mainly the quick and singing violins building up into a powerful chorus alongside deeper pitches, which are much like Ecstasy of Gold's running piano strikes and signature flute and voice.

...There I go gushing again. Movie soundtracks are something of a passion for me.
