So... I was walking around Barnes and Nobles today, and I happened upon a type of official bungie Halo Encyclopedia, which is in itself uninteresting, except for a very telling article I read on the abilities granted by the Spartan armor and the genetic modifications. In a nutshell, yeah the armor and mutations give them enhanced durability and strength and speed, but ultimately Spartans with the armor on max out at a speed of 20 miles per hour, reflexes of 3 times a normal human, and a top lifting strength of 2 tons.
So, what's that crashing noise you hear? 'tis the sound of like, every pro-Master Chief ever conceived on this forum simultaneously falling flat. No 60 ton tank lifting, no bullet timing reflexes, and no 60 MPH running speed. Hur hurr.
So really, the only thing Spartans have going for them that would make them even mid meta is the fact that there's been two canonical instances of them falling through the atmosphere and hitting the ground without being scathed.

IS SO COOL.
Not far from where I live, an SUV mowed down three people today. I was going to a store when suddenly there's traffic. I was wondering what made it and then I saw the scene. Three guys, covered in blood with their faces down on the ground, not moving. This freaked me the heck out 'cause I thought they were dead. Apparently there was no SUV around which meant that it was a hit and run. I only know about the SUV because one of my friends's neighbors witnessed it and told her about it. This is all messed up.
