Ryu does not have a last name. The "Hoshi" is just something the live-action [the crappy one] movie producers cooked up. It's as rotten as him and Ken being con-artists*, Chun-Li being a journalist, and other misconceptions created by them. [Besides if he had a last name, it would have sounded like 'Sakazaki'. So that's where SNK got that from!]
