That's the shitty in-universe explanation DC has given it. The reality is that Superman will not kill Lex Luthor because DC enjoys the money they make when they sell storylines involving Lex Luthor. Ergo, Superman does not kill, because if he did DC would have run out of iconic villains for him to fight by now. Plot induced stupidity.

Yah. CIS is nothing more than personality, and the perks as well as faults that come with having it, with having a life philosophy. PIS is the idea of altering an event for the sake of the plot, most often when something else was the most likely outcome.

You have to understand that certain people like varied characterization, while I personally would like nothing more than to live in a world where every fictional character ever abides by Blaxican's worldview, regardless of their different backgrounds, not everyone does.

You got 12000 posts, had you bolded every one of those (say at a rate of 1.2 since we should include multiple replies having to be separatetly bolded) you would have wasted 4 whole hours of your life doing nothing but that. You could have changed the world in that time.
Additionally, an even better reason may be, to not have the immense likelihood that in a couple of years you'll be looking back at your posts and think "Goddammit, what a huge tool I've been"....and that may very well be followed by a realization that, at the time, you did not think you've been a huge tool, and if that is so, what in the world can give you the confidence to believe you are not a huge tool at that very moment.

Two problems with that:
1. I already know I'm a huge tool.
2. It was an active choice by me to come to these forums. I could have changed the world ten times over, I suppose, if I hadn't written those 12k posts to begin with.
Technically, it's as much a waste of time writing them as it is bolding them. So yeah, it's not a "waste", it's a choice. Granted, a choice can be waste, but it's an intentional waste. It's what I've wanted to do with my time.
