I didn't like Titanic either. It's the reason I never saw Avatar. Well, that, and I've seen Disney's Pocahontas. So it just seemed like a waste of money.I have heard of Facebook, have one. Both are bad reasons to see this movie. If they give a damn about Facebook, then sure, see it. I do not, so I will not.
I do not know David Fincher. What else did he direct?
I don't give a damn about Facebook, and I'm going to watch it. It's the rising of a social network, the means of connecting the world on a whole new level. If they removed the name "Facebook" from the movie and called it something else, a lot of people who currently say "No" would probably watch it. Make the description a little more dramatic, add some lure and intrigue the crowd.
Having watched Pocahontas is no reason not to watch Avatar, for while there are similarities, there are also differences. With that philosphy, you can go ahead and never watch another war movie. You've probably seen them all already, even if you've only seen a few. Same applies for most romantic comedies, and many other genres.
David Fincher has among other directed The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Panic Room, Fight Club, The Game (A favorite) and Seven.
