Hardly anyone in this forum has changed at all in three years. ScreamPaste's still a drunk, NemeBro still acts rather pedo-ish, and Moocow still has his "Justice"-fetish. Change is a hard thing for everyone (but it would be nice if NemeBro would do it faster).

I dunno. It seemed to piss off a gay person one time.

Except you're the one that consistently comes on here with incredibly offensive opinions and attitudes with no change, despite people explaining to you repeatedly just why they are so offensively, and the fact that your crap does directly offend people here.

I like how you completely ignored my second paragraph.

I'm sure that whatever else you said didn't help, and of course everyone's going to take things slightly differently.

Welcome to another episode of "don't make stupid comments about gender and sexuality when the openly not-straight woman moderator is going to see it".

For the record Peach, you started the next episode. All I did was say that I was trying to make a friendly joke to a friend. You made it into a discussion which possibly made me look like an @$$ even more so technically, I'm the victim at the moment.

"I'm the one who made an offensive joke and brought it up here, can't you see I'm being victimized?!"

Um, no. I pointed out that yes, people are likely going to be offended at jokes made at their expense! And then you made a pitiful attempt at defending yourself, by stating even more insulting stuff.

You are not in any way a victim, you are simply an offensive kid who makes no effort to learn why you're being offensive nor to change that. The bigot being called out for their bigotry cannot ever be the victim.

A friendly joke? About someone's sexuality? Why didn't you just insult her race while you were at it?

Seriously. You don't mess with most women period, but there's a such thing as just being silly about it.

I once made a joke about Mario being an Italian to an Italian. Yet he didn't go all "OMGWTF THAT'S RACIST YOU B@$+@RD!" He laughed in fact. Some people can be offended by something but some enjoy it because they realize that what people are trying to do is just be funny and unfortunately, that lady friend I had wasn't one of them. Also, some Canadians (other than ScreamPaste) seem to enjoy listening to me saying they call ham in their country canadian bacon.

Italian isn't a race...

Intent doesn't matter. You did something your friend found offensive, the proper thing to do is to make a genuine apology (none of that "I'm sorry you were offended" bullshit), and not do it again.

Since when?

I guess that would explain why the classic-type of apology didn't work and I know I didn't make a second joke since I knew what set her off. Maybe she'll be happy if I give her a gift or something.

Since "American" wasn't a race either. Italian is a nationality or ethnicity.

"Female is upset maybe throwing something shiny at her will make it better." How do you function in society?

It is an ethnicity/nationality, not race. Since always. Good lord, do some reading. Make some effort at educating yourself.

That type of apology isn't an apology. "I'm sorry and I won't do it again", and then sticking to that, is a real apology. That's all that's needed. No gift required. Material objects aren't the solution to everything.

You've obviously never been to Ireland...

No I haven't. Would like to, though.

It's nice. If you go to Dublin, avoid Temple Bar.

In all honesty though, most (and i say most) of either gender is kind of, how do i put this... retarded.

Men are pigs, women are b*tches. it's certainly not all (as there are good ones on both sides). it just amazes me how many women can be impressed by something shiny that cost a lot of money.

Well as touching as it sounds, I sure as heck ain't gonna make her feel better by kissing a dude so that she can do a gay joke on me. She can make a joke on me but the first half is not happening ๐Ÿ˜

Are you trying to get in trouble? Or does it just come naturally?

Um... "I'll let her do the same to me, that'll make up for it" is just as childish and ineffectual. The proper, mature response is to apologize and then not do that offensive shit again.

...where did I ever say you should kiss a guy to make up for it?

Or you could just freaking apologize and leave it at that.
