The entire hype about the MLP thing is that it's MLP. ๐Ÿ˜ If it wasn't MLP and had some discernible quality no one would be shitting their pants, because normally your expectations don't start out ruined by horrible memories and associations with one of the lamest lines of Hasbro toys ever. mmm

Mane, **** this pony shit mane, just ****ing **** no.

nononono.

I can see you two are not REAL men.

A real man is not decided by what he watches, or what he values

But by his glorious manbeard.

This is true.

Brian Wilson confirms.

Indeed, manliness and beard have mathematical correlations. Or something.

I'd like to clarify my earlier post isn't pony hate, either. Just an observation. It 's fairly quality, but the fact it's based on pony toys AND has quality is what makes it so noteworthy, imho.

I still don't think it's quite my thing. /Bastion of manliness.

Santa Claus is more manly than all of you.

I'm very inclined to disagree. I'm not denying that part of the reason it's so widely spoken of is because it is in fact My Little Pony. There's a rush for some when saying they watch My Little Pony and being genuine about it. It's something to baffle your friends with ๐Ÿ™‚

It goes without saying though that you don't watch something you don't like. You don't stay with a show because it used to suck but doesn't anymore. You stay with it because it's a good show. The hype isn't because it's My Little Pony. The hype is because it's good despite being My Little Pony ๐Ÿ˜‰ A show that's sucked for (G1), (G2) and (G3).

The only difference it being My Little Pony does except allowing it to spread like wildfire, is that people think "It's because it's My Little Pony it's hyped" or "My Little Pony . . . You're serious?" ๐Ÿ˜„

It get widely spread because it's an actually successful generation of ponies. Viewers of all ages stay not because the show is My Little Pony, but rather because it's good. It's quality in more fields than one.

This is basically what I was saying. ๐Ÿ˜› I think we agree here. Like I said, I'm not saying it's bad, I just think that a combination of it not being bad and it being something you would expect to be bad adds to the noteworthiness of the cartoon.

Its not just 'not bad' though. It's actually good, very funny.

Because I am a gigantic douchebag, I have to point out something.

Lauren Faust did not create The Iron Giant or Quest For Camelot. She did however animate them. ๐Ÿ˜›

Her writing credentials come from Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Fosters was a hilarious cartoon.

Ah that explains a lot.

Both of these shows are not extremely well written but they both have nice humor to them, which I rather like for a cartoon designed to be funny.

Finally we come to an agreement on a cartoon.

I dunno man, I generally think Powerpuff Girls had good writing.

Fosters had good writing.

You know, it did, but I found the art style kinda meh.

Oh and **** Cheese.

I thought the girl was hot.
