You literally just nitpicked the very last definition on that listing. How pathetic.

Considering that was the definition of greatest, yeah, you would say I went with that one. Since greatest was only defined at the bottom of the page, I figured it would be more productive if I went with the definition of the word I was looking for.

What's up with female side-kicks and being barefoot in fantasy settings?

Is being barefoot some kind of theme for being "pure" or something?

Bare feet is a visual shorthand for childlike innocence. It's quite a trope, actually.

Example?
Elika from Prince of Persia, for example. Claudia from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is another one.

Yah, I figured as much.

It irks the hell out of me though, for some reason. I understand that it's a fantasy setting, but it always kinda scratch my head when I see someone run barefoot through stone ruins or a battlefield or something.

Bugs me too, if only for practical reasons. Going about barefoot isn't exactly comfortable on most surfaces ๐Ÿ˜›

Elika's magical, though, she can get away with it.

Eh, once your used to it, it honestly is not that bad. I like being barefoot. Just not clean while outside.

Agreed! Claudia has no excuse, tromping about in those rocky caves and stuff.

She weird to begin with so that's a given. At first I thought she was lunatic you eventually had to fight.

Est is a suffix.

You know what a suffix is right?

The suffix est, put simply, means "TEH KEWLIEST OF THINGS THIS WORD DESCRIBES."

I don't need a dictionary to tell me that.

Oh, and my favorite fictional character?

Hard to say, Ganondorf is probably my all-time favorite, generally.

Some others I really like are Terumi Yuuki from Blazblue (Though really I like a lot from Blazblue), Slayer from Guilty Gear, Deceiver (Though really I like all the C'tan), and Nurgle from Warhammer 40k, Younger Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho, Walt from Gran Torino, Twilight Sparkle from MLP: FiM (131), and probably more I cannot recall.

Nurgle? wtf

Yo NemeBro, how good is BlazBlue? And is there a superior version to get?

Nurgle is easily the coolest Chaos God. As in, by ****ing far. All of the Chaos Gods are shown to be malicious or uncaring of mortals, mostly uncaring. Nurgle however, loves all life equally. From the Eldar to humanity, to the tiny bacterium inhabiting the galaxy. And he shows his loves by giving us gifts, gifts in the shape of horrible diseases that he spreads across the galaxy. And his followers are just as loving, they just want to give you a big hug, showing you how much they care. <3

Blazblue, along with Guilty Gear, is my favorite fighting series.

The gameplay itself is top-notch, is easy to pick up and play, but not so easy to master, which is ideal IMO. While the first game had some balance issues, the second is more forgiving in that regard. Well, unless you want to use Rachel. ๐Ÿ˜

The characters are excellent, and the story is much better than what you would expect from a fighting game.

But as for superior version, not sure what you mean...?

Why yes dear cousin, I do know what a suffix is. I also know who Augustus is. Providing a link to something I know allows others to learn the knowledge I know and grow a little more.

That said, since the suffix Est is added to great to create the superlative "Greatest" the definition is changed to "Highest in Quality".

Oh man, the TV Tropes page for A Song of Ice and Fire is huge.

Ah, was under the impression (for some reason) that Continuum Shift was a second version of Calamity Trigger.

So I suppose you've answered my question. Thanks!

Star Wars' is probably the biggest, if you count all the movies and EU material.

Ah, no, lol. Although I suppose in a way fighting game "sequels" tend to be just improvements/changes upon the original game, especially in most where the plot is largely irrelevant.

No problem. :3

Edit: Mass Effect is unique in that the original page for the first game broke the wiki. So they split the trope pages into three parts. Mass Effect proceeded to break the wiki with these pages once more. Now there are six trope pages for Mass Effect. That is just the first game's trope pages. :3

I just checked, no it isn't ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜›

Yay, we went from greatest to biggest. Love this thread.

I suppose technically no, the original page is not.

But the main "trope listing" for Mass Effect is far bigger than Song of Ice and Fire. mmm

ASoiF is far superior, though. And the series is only half-complete at this point.

And speaking of, everyone should go check out the Game of Thrones premiere that aired last night. Sex, violence, and political intrigues, sometimes all at once!
