Rain, you overestimate Quan's abilities of logic and understanding. It will surely be your downfall.

That what you guys said about BT, people can change... <-< >->

Shang Tsung's fireball blows up a chopper. Johnny Cage can survive multiple fireballs so by your logic cage's skin is more durable than a helicopter. This doesn't make any sense and is tragically wrong on all counts.

1. Yeah Ryu can do that. Akuma and Gouken leveled a mountain range with their Hadoukens. And Akuma punched an island, that had a mountain range, and sank/destroyed it. And Akuma punched Ayers Rock, a mountain, and split it into four pieces. And Akuma kicked a sunken ship in half, destroying a nearby submarine with the force of the shockwave, he did this while carrying the ship in a few seconds from the ocean trench to above the surface. Oh and Akuma annihilated a forest with a flex of his power, which actually went out to space. Don't argue against something unless you actually no what he has done.2. Akuma has been portrayed as fighting inside a volcano, and training at the bottom of an ocean trench. Considering he and people his level output enough force to destroy mountains or islands, no, he cannot be harmed by spikes.
3. Ah, right, "portrayal." Alucard from the Hellsing series is portrayed as virtually invincible. He would not be so in DC or Marvel. For another example, Onaga from Mortal Kombat is portrayed as being more or less unstoppable in single kombat (Heehee), is the same true if you put him in the Marvel universe?
Mortal Kombat vs. DC is not only noncanon, but Superman was explicitly weakened in MK, as were the other fighters. In fact, everyone's power was in flux, displayed by Joker getting a power boost while some others were weaker. But if you want to use noncanon examples, Akuma has leaped into space and shattered a meteor the size of the moon.
1. Sure, some can have their throats slit, by similarly superhuman characters with a sufficiently durable blade. But Ryu tapping into the Satsui No Hadou was shown to be explicitly immune to bullets, and pretty much anything else sent at him. Also, that is what we call a bad portrayal. When Akuma and Gouken fight, mountain ranges are destroyed.
2. Yes because even though a person weaker than him was explicitly shown to have superhuman durability, Akuma would die right? Ignoring the fact that Akuma has himself displayed absurd amounts of durability.
The spikes would dent on his skin. Akuma is much too durable for mere iron spikes to harm him.
Portrayal and common sense go hand in hand. Akuma couldn't just laugh off a free fall into spikes on the pit fatality just like Johnny Cage's skin isn't more durable than a chopper. This stuff doesn't alll logically make any sense and is going against their portrayals in the games. Can Bison wreck islands ? Because I am sure his character is capable of beating akuma.
Mk vs. dc I know isn't canon but then again Shang Tsung learned a fatality from the joker so take that as you will. I did that to prove a point.
Yes, like most things in fiction it doesn't add up since bullets can't hurt him but lesser things can and have.
So have mk characters as well if we went by feats. I mean Liu Kang can tear through Shao Kahn's flesh but I am not going to say he just rips through anyone who gets into a fight with him based off of this feat.
Ermac also easily tk's jax's arms off. Portrayal jumps in and says he can't easily do this to anyone with human arms in the games.
I wish I could save you from this lunacy.

They are apart of the game. They're not apart of the canon. You do know what "canon" is, right?
That doesn't mean he doesn't have the ability to do so only that it never happened. These characters are consistently portrayed as having superhuman strength from game to game and just because he doesn't punch Liu Kang's head doesn't mean he doesn't have the strength to do so in the right situation.
You can thank me later.
It was the original intention of the developer. That exerpt from him at the end was chilling. And when it came out there was no doubt what the game was about.

'K, so let's say Galactus fires an energy blast that can destroy a planet. Then, shockhorror, he uses this blast on Thanos. Thanos survives. By our logic, this makes Thanos more durable than a planet. That is what's known as a durability feat, correct?
But according to you, this doesn't make any sense and is tragically wrong on all counts. Thus, Thanos is not as durable as a planet and would die after falling 100 meters onto spikes.
Am I reading your argument correctly?
^ One particular Squirrel > most of the Marvel verse, including Thanos.

Nah, Thanos gets disintegrated, but then comes back to life.
~ Also, Optimus Prime or Optimus Primal? mmm
