No, they don't. I mean virtually every character in mk has special abilities and powers but when you mention street fighter characters and ones with massive thighs it's really like original.

Yeah. How can you expect me to continue talking to you if I can't make it somewhat enjoyable?

...was that a point or did you try to make one and just forget to finish the thought?

You're lucky I am bored enough to grace the video game vs. section with my status.

My point is every character practically has something else they bring to the table and announcing street fighter characters moves or massive legs doesn't make it any more original than if I say Kano throws knives and rips your heart out.

I only have one kind of luck. And it's the bad kind. So if you could call that being lucky, then sure. I'm the luckiest bovine on this planet.

So it amounts to you pointing out that there is more to a Mortal Kombat character than just being an ice ninja or a Bruce Lee knockoff and still refusing to acknowledge the same point of view for something from Street Fighter? 'cause that's what I thought you were doing. I just need to be sure.

God knows I don't want to get your argument wrong. That could make it look dumber than it actually is!

My point was always that mk has had more original characters than street fighter. I didn't say every single mk character was/is more original than every street fighter character.

Also think Goro and the shokan race. Also not sure but were there any other characters who morphed into every other fighter pre shang tsung ?

Saying someone's argument is dumb isn't refuting it it's actually only proving you don't have a case!!!!! Boom.

3. Uhuh. You say that with such certainty, but tell me, what do you actually know about the plot of Street Fighter, and the mythos surrounding it? Can you tell me what the Doll project is/was? Can you explain to me the Satsui no Hadou? Technically, Street Fighter DOES have an extensive backstory to it, but most people don't care. Same with MK. Probably because, although some pieces are fairly interesting, it's largely irrelevant.

Fair enough. Haven't really thought of it that way before, but it does kinda make sense. And yeah, most (if not all) the regular characters after MK3 or MK4 are so minor/forgettable (or just one-timers), that them ever having been created is just irrelevant now.

1.Fable 2 is a complete bust coming right after the first. You can't shell out a crappier sequel if ya tried. Mk armageddon fits perfectly in the mk universe whereas fable 2 sucked. Fable 3 continued the suckage. The series sucks.

I guess you're entitled to your opinion about Fable, but how did Armageddon not suck? Sure, it was cool at first to be able to play as some of the bosses you couldn't ever use before, but the fun from that didn't last too long, not to mention some of 'em had retarded changes like Motaro only having two legs instead of four, which they said the shokan put some kind of curse on the centaurs as an excuse. The "create a fatality" was dumb; they should've just given everyone fatalities that were unique to them, including those who weren't ever given one before. The krypt was too small, there were too many clone characters gameplay-wise, and plot-wise it was so vague and disastrous that the series had to take a step back in time and retcon it. The broken gameplay and what not that Armageddon had didn't help much either. As a long time fan of the series, I tried to get myself to like it as much as its predecessors for the longest time, but just couldn't. Deception was the best MK of the last generation, with that said.

Well at the time the creators planned on killing pretty much every character save a select few off for the sequel then dc happened.

They had what like 60 some fighters in this one so with this many fighters I expected more than a fair share of crap considering the roster is epically huge. I liked the story mode when all the baddies linked up and had their convo. Onaga and Shao Kahn in the same room along with Quan chi and shang tsung. Epic.

I liked it, overall but I have always been a huge mk fan.

I also like how they did kinda end everyone save shao kahn and raiden. Then instead of a straight up remake they think of a creative way to let it all still count while at the same time changing the past.

Deception had the best opening movie for an mk ever. That long drawn out battle between those three was beyond awesome.

I think you worship me and tell all your friends about the tales of quan. Was I spot on ?

Does anyone else get a Michael Bay-esque aura from Quan?

Well lets just say Nate River you are not.

Really? Was thinking of that there Uwe Boll myself.

Uwe Boll and Michael Bay have a similar complex, but the difference is that Uwe Boll genuinley believes most of his own hype, whereas a lot of Bay's is sarcastic. I usually get the feeling that Quan's just trolling when he talks about how awesome he is.

He is obviously trolling sometimes, like now. However, his record seems to indicate that he thinks highly of himself. And he has saved quotes of people who have "complimented" him.

That and he was using the title King of the Debaters for a while...mmm

That outfit looks uncomfortable and heavy.

Man, reading codex's that are older than 5E is damn near painful.

the 5e codexes are the worst. So, painful in that you see how badly shit's gone down hill, yes.

Blasphemy, the IG 5E codex is perfection incarnate. Compare that to 2E SoB or the 4E Tau. The latter look like shit.

😐 Dudewat.

The 5e IG codex is the second worst thing I have EVER read. 😐 "Hurdur bulging biceps"

Blax 1000 point army for our campaign thing.

I can't decide whether I liked FMA or Brotherhood more. mmm

Both are really great anime with things I really like and both have serious flaws that I really didn't like. Both endings kind of sucked a fat one. FMA's pissed me off and Brotherhoods was a complete anticlimax. And then they trade good characters with each other. FMA had the stronger themes, but Brotherhood the stronger characters.

Dunno, maybe Bro edges it.
