Honestly, I was pretty shocked by the books - they're YA lit, but there's a lot of death, and Collins didn't hold back on the descriptions of violence. They're great, though. Jarring, and quite dark and harsh, but great.

I literally just finished reading Mockingjay about 5 hours ago - I read all three books this weekend 😛

one can make the argument that Katniss didn't really know who to blame at that point. It was only at the very end she decided not to kill Snow, so maybe putting his granddaughter in there was her means of still punishing him. But yes, still a ***** move.

I'm a fast reader, and they were just incredibly addictive. Didn't help that Catching Fire ended on the cliffhanger from hell, good lord.

Hmm....well have you ever read City of Bones? I like it more than HG cause it has a very nice atmosphere that wasn't as odd. That and one of the characters is actually a great example of Nature vs Nurture. And the romance...the author is a sick ****.

But to be fair, Morph was the throwaway character of the show anyhow. Prolly the most annoying character to be made specifically for a comic-based animated series that I've seen by far. Am kinda getting back on my feat again after getting in a car accident where my truck got totaled head-on a week or two ago (with a tire flying God knows how far), but I wasn't hurt in the crash, with the exception of my pride. My airbag didn't even go off either. lolol

Good luck on the finals and interview, I'm sure you'll do fine. Interestingly enough, I was in a car crash of my own around the same time. Ended up knocking down a freeway sign and ruined the undercarriage of my parents' car. Uncanny, isn't it?

I think that she didn't because if she had, everyone would have turned on her anyway, because Katniss was so well-known and loved.

And yeah, I think Peeta was a bit too perfect throughout the series...but then again, he was very much like Prim. Some people are just genuinely good and nice people. Which is what made it so jarring.

lol yes I know, and Katniss was the coal/spark. Not that Peeta wasn't as well but whatever. Fun fact: I live in the general area that Katniss does, so I was pleased.

I think what sets them apart was Peeta being able to just kill people. Seemed like he could always set aside his good nature when needed, which for people like Prim, would be hard to do.

I liked him cause he was drunk. Which is exactly how I would be if I were him. And he wouldn't have, he'd want to stay home and be drunk. But still, he would deserve it. 😛

That and it might also be an age thing and an upbringing thing. Since she lived in a house where her mother helped others when they were sick(when she wasn't off her rocker that is) and what with her Father's death, it would make sense that she wouldn't be able to hurt anyone. Then again, Peeta was a baker. Not exactly the bloodiest of all careers. 😛
