As much as I want to convince myself that I don't like this Gumball show... I can't do it. There is just this underlying cuteness that is killing me. awewut

laem

They have a goldfish character who suddenly grew legs and started walking, so they name him Darwin? mmm

And yes Blax, I know. I'll just stick to what I'm good at.

I've been considering dusting off my Wii and buying Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Does anyone have an opinion for this game?

Definitely the best DK game since the original Donkey Kong Countries. Easily surpasses DK64, even if that's not saying much to some. And srsly, Retro's the best thing to happen to the franchise since the old Rare, if not a little better. You may find yourself wanting to throw your controller to the wall during some levels though, as it's quite a step above the rest as far as difficulty, IMHO. The only thing that can be considered a downside to the game perhaps, to me, is the lack of kremlings/K. Rool as enemies, but only the hardcore nostalgia **** would ***** about that over all the good qualities of the game.

So, I just got back from Thor.

Was good.

Got back from Thor too, was kinda disappointed.

I enjoyed it while in the theater, but looking back on it it was kind of bland.

Spent two days-ish hammered. Am better feeling. Hasve headache. Sleep is now.

Played more of Fallout New Vegas and encountered a swarm of Cazadors. I haven't fought anything that annoying since Cliff Racers in Marrowind.

How so?

Thor was predictable but I think they made a "decent" film even if not an instant classic. Not knowing the comic series I would not be able to bring different ideas to what they could have done.

The romance was lame. In the comics when Thor was banished, he did fall for a mortal but that was when he had amnesia. What he didn't know was that he already had a lover in Asgard and when he regained his memories, things were a bit awkward for him until the mortal woman met somebody else the ****. Cut that last part out and add it to the movie and you got a pretty good twist.

Who the **** watches superhero movies for the romance?

You watch it to see a preferably muscular man fight over preferably muscular men in form-fitting attire.

Why does Odin seem fairly weak and hesitant in the film? cant marvel odin smash worlds if not solarsystems/galaxies at some point in the comics?

I thought he was incredible or is this simply poorly portrayed in the films (or maybe he just was not as powerful at this point in time?).

I believe he was of the belief that all life is precious. Smashing worlds is kind of against that.

You think I watch these movies for that overdone crap? I wish it wasn't used at all but Marvel Studios is insisting that making all the heroes look like a bunch of lovesick puppies is a good idea. Sure it works for Spider-Man and some of the members in the Fantastic Four but for Odin's sake, don't make all the other Marvel heroes go down that path, especially Ghost Rider. Action >>> Romance estahuh

I wish it had been explained to me like this.

Well, Odin was clearly portrayed as more powerful than Thor, and everyone else in the movie. He just did not want to annihilate the Frost Giants because, well, I guess he is not fond of genocide.

But yeah, Thor is weaker in the movie than he is in the comics, so we can assume Odin is as well. Normal Odin is basically the definition of Skyfather, able to annihilate multiple galaxies in fights, reignite dying suns, fight across every plane of existence simultaneously, shaking the very fabric of the Multiverse. To be honest, I get the feeling that he may be TOO powerful to qualify as a Skyfather.

Well if I recall the next one up is Abstract, which Odin definately isn't. So he's just a really, powerful, high-tier Skyfather.

Not really.

Abstract is the tier of beings like Eternity and shit.

Cosmic Cubes and Celestials are below that.
