Then how do you explain how Joey won his Red-Eyes Black Dragon back from Yugi? There was an off-screen duel they had at the very end of the Battle City arc... Unless you think Yugi won that and just gave Joey back his Red-Eyes out of pity, which would be nonsensical since Yugi basically makes Joey have to earn what's his and where he is as a duelist.

I didn't say Joey didn't win. Merely evened it out as Atem had beaten him before. Besides, Joey could never beat Yugi. The dude defeated all the Egyptian Gods in one turn and is the main reason the world was saved. Yugi>

Ah, okay. That's all true then.

Well, I'm pretty sure Atem > Odion, so shouldn't Joey > Odeon too? I know the end of their duel (before Marik intervened and made Odion summer fake Ra) kinda said otherwise, but still..

What's Charizard's height again?

Atem obviously had a bad hand when he dueled Joey. 313

5"07 apparently.

Why would the "heart of the cards" not give Atem the hand he needed against Joey when it allowed him to draw the right cards in every other duel?

Oh, then I guess a lot of us are taller than Charizard. awesome Shrimp for what's supposed to be a dragon of some sort.

Didn't pay the bills on time? And not every other duel. There were a few duels where it failed him. 313

Indeed.

Which duels? Waking the Dragons arc was filler (though was one of my favorite seasons), so as such, his loss to Rafael was too. It didn't fail him in his duel against Yugi since he was able to summon all 3 Egyptian Gods. He just lost because Yugi was the better duelest, not because he had a bad hand.

And ancient pharaohs don't pay bills. >:

ONYX IS ONLY FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS.

Yugi defeated Atem, who had both of those. Therefore, Yugi is>

Actually Yugi has beaten Joey before so Joey is not >Yugi. Nearly beat does not mean beat. Joey would have lost to Odian before that anyway. awesome

Still doesn't change the fact that he lost...thrice. ๐Ÿ˜›
Atem dueled in nearly every episode, and lost only thrice as well, but one of those losses was a filler duel, and another was off-screen.
But that's nothing compared to Yusei Fudo, whose only actual loss in the series was an off-screen past duel against Jack.

Yugi has shitty hair, so Kaiba & Joey > Yugi uhuh

Except in Joey's case it does. He would have won had he not collapsed. I'm pretty sure everyone else would have been taken out long before that though. awesome
To be fair, I dunno why I am defending Joey, seeing as I like Kaiba more, but meh, Joey's still a better duelist IMO, even if he depends on luck. Kaiba just happens to have much better cards. Give Joey Kaiba's cards, and he'd pwn. awesome

Well, it is a Pokemon

Kaiba is a dickhead.

The worst part about Yugioh is that no one ever broke his nose for being a dickface.

Like he did when he temporarily took Kaiba's Blue-Eyes from him? I loved the look on Kaiba's face when Joey said "It looks good standing behind me doesn't it?". ๐Ÿ˜‚

Eh, that's hardly an excuse though. I mean the dragon Rayquaza is ****ing huge, among other examples. For something like Charizard to be only around 5 ft is just sad IMO, even by Pokemon standards...

Spyro's one of the only examples where being a shrimp dragon is exceptionally cool. awesome

I thought Anubis did in the Yugioh movie. Well, broke his arm rather, but close enough. And yeah, he's a dick. Definitely agree there.

Yu-Gi-Oh's lame.

Think I read your mind. Only watched the original series though for the most part, not any of the modern day versions which are even lamer (always on motorcycles).

Yah wtf is up with that

Though I kind of liked the holo-projector things that attached to your arms. Seemed like the most sensible, from a pragmatic perspective.

Yeah. That was awesome.
It would naturally look good with Joey. BEWD is > REBD.

Well, Charizard can still kick ass, so it might even out very little. ๐Ÿ˜›

Agreed on Spyro. ๐Ÿ‘†

That movie was pretty cool IMO. I loved the part where the God cards combined but did not fuse.
Kaiba was a bigger dick than usual in the movie.

Dunno, but it was probably the dumbest thing I saw for a kid's show since Power Rangers Turbo.

Agreed on that 2nd part though.

True, but better than Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon? mmm Joey should've had that. >_>

Yeah. Charizard at least had some cool moments when he held his own against Entei for awhile in the 3rd movie, and when he beat Gary's Blastoise.

Yeah. Kinda odd they didn't fuse during that moment though. Guess that's part of what supports the movie being non-canon.

Yep, he was. Not gonna lie... My favorite moments with Kaiba, to be honest, were most of the times when he ridiculed Noah (whether it was behind Noah's back or when he was talking to Noah directly), and when he had a confrontation with his step-father which he overcome for a second time. The times when Seto fought his way through most of Pegasus's guards and stuff in the duelist kingdom was pretty cool too (despite that two of the guards did not have guns on them thanks to 4kids editing and instead just pointed their fingers at Kaiba ๐Ÿ˜‚ ).

Lost to Yugi, lost to Kaiba, lol lost to Rafael.

Which is why he loses. ๐Ÿ˜›

I can guess that Atem did not duel as much as Jaden. Joey being there kinda gave us two main characters to observe throughout the tournaments.

Nah, his hair is awesome.

Joey is not that good while playing the game. He still makes quite a few mistakes. See Virtual duel arc where Atem's strategy went way over his head.
