Woohoo, official off-topic thread!

PlayStation.

I have that too. Birds of a feather. =D

Not that I play them. Mostly because I started with the first. Which is an annoying grind fest if ever there was one. >.>

So Aura, does your copy work on a PS2?

Because mine doesn't. ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜

IDK. I use my PS3 usually. The disk that had FF1 and FF2 worked on my PS2.

Mad?

On an unrelated note, Oberon from Gargoyles is pretty awesome.

I'm a little mad. I think I'm going to be madder later.

๐Ÿ˜

Do I need to download anything to make the PS3 backwards compatable?

Mine came with it. I was surprised. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Which PS3 do you have?

Because only three versions support backwards compatibility at all. If you don't have a 60GB, 20GB, or an 80GB with 4 USB ports on the front, you're SOL.

In other news, video games are officially protected under the First Amendment.

My brother has the PS3, I only have a PS2. But I'm going down to visit in a few weeks so hopefully I can play then. From what I recall though it does have 4 USB ports.

Woot on the amendment part though.

Well, the harddrive size is the more important thing; the USB port thing is simply because there's two 80GB systems, one with 2 ports (non-BC) and one with 4 (limited BC). If it's the 80GB with 4 USB ports, then it lets you play older games with patches you have to download.

I think its the latter. I recall trying to play a PS2 game on it and it told me to download something. Hopefully my bro's actually got the internet now instead of stealing it from our neighbours so I can get the patch.

I hate the founding fathers for that free speech garbage. Didn't they know any stupid people that they didn't want to hear from? Damn it.

Kidding of course. Hooray, society is starting to accept violence in an interactive medium.

Badass. Long story short, it's a pretty subjective term that covers characters that are exceptionally tough, skilled, strong, or otherwise good at fighting or similar actions. They do incredible things a normal person probably can't, or do more mundane things in impressive ways. There's really no one definition, as the link will show, but it's essentially a synonym for "awesome."

The fact we have civility as a concept means we can. We all have base instincts, but we are more than capable of ignoring them.

Why compare him if he's already good enough to be considered a badass? He's a bit more heroic and good than Dante, Kratos, and Gabriel, however.

When society is stripped away we'd be animals I don't ignore my baser instincts but at the same time I don't completely give into them.

Yes, he is more noble and more heroic but I tend to go for anti heroes anyways. Very rarely do superman type heroes have any appeal to me.

That's because you're an idiot.

lol Quan, no one can actually ignore instincts.

Selfish heroes are more interesting than ones that just do goodness for goodness's sake. Which is not to say that I hate good guys but I'd like to think they have their own goals in mind when doing something.

Which, Link is still better than Kratos by virtue of not saying anything stupid.

I like good characters.

Whether said hero is a traditional hero or an anti-hero is not important.

I can even get behind a Villain Protagonist.

Which is what Kratos is. "Anti heroes" do heroic things, despite their flaws.

Kratos does not. He is a Villain Protagonist, you are playing as an evil, evil man.

That said, I like Kratos a lot more than Link.

Mostly because I fail to see the appeal in a shovel.

You're just jealous he defeats Ganon all the time.

Your wording implies I want to be the one to defeat Ganon.

Wouldn't you love to make Ganon your *****?

Scenario thinks he can.

Kratos is more off the beaten path and is more interesting as a character to me then Link who is devoid of personality.
