Goddammit not again.

My 2 cents on the current strength discussion: BT, do you really want me to add mach 1 to Bowser's strikes? Because that is guaranteed to be a side effect of what you're trying to do, just saying.

In other news, I'm going to an orientation for college, which happens to be a five hour drive away. I probably won't be back for a while.

How old are you Scenario? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

A character's strength is what creates the speed of their strike. I cannot figure out how fast Link's sword is moving, and then add the force created by the swing to the swing, because that's just multiplying Link's strength by Link's strength.

IE, false inflation.

Again, not in most cases because some have speed without physical strength. No, you have link swinging his sword+his strength, you cannot add it again to him swinging again because we already have the first feat. However, if Link gained the ability to swing twice as fast, or at hundreds of times the speed of sound or some silly figuire, then it goes without saying youl would have a new calculation, links strength will stay the same, but the velocity of the first swing would be kicked out for the new velocity.

I already did it for bowser, not mach 1 mind but the velocity that comes from a moving bowser, the mach 1 thing is actually 1 cm/second if your talking about sonic box things. If bowser has no velocity at all to add to the calculation then his own strike will be more or less nothing due to the fact its striking force=massxvelocity.

Whatever you said here didn't make sense.

How about that there lightning swatting?

Argument in 3... OhByTheWayOoT3DMakesItEvenMoreObviouslyLightning<3

I already did the math out of curiousity, PM'd findings to BR for lulz. It's still irrelevant because his strength is what allows the sword to move as fast as it does. He doesn't magically add more to it by virtue of painting it red and doing it faster. ๐Ÿ˜

I promise you that mathing the force behind Link's sword in addition to his strength will make you cry. haermm This is not a road you want to push for. ๐Ÿ˜

Of course it does, if your implying their speed also is part of their strength, not all characters actually gain many of their attributes from strength or physical force/chemical reaction at all, they gain it from another source such as sorcery. based on your argument, if flash punched a bloke at normal human speed and then hit lightspeed and did it again he would not gain any more force....๐Ÿ˜

What? you miss the point and theres no point in trying to get a daft lightning argument going again.

Dont be silly, if he has thousands of tons of strength then moving it at a normal pace with his arms speed is hardly the highest speed he can give the sword is it, velocity is relevent even more so with Dante, his slow movements with his swords he can do do not overrule the fact he "can" also do it at mach whatever speeds. Momentum is part of acceleration. Also I dont know what Orc beliefs have to do with this.

Well, knowing your math its probably an overhype although tbh, Link is irrelevent, as are his capabilities.

Flash moves at ridiculous FTL speeds

Think about that for a moment.

IIRC Flash can hit super hard. Thats why he can hurt Supervillians like SuperBitch Prime. In fact he has an attack known as the Infinate Mass Punch where, traveling near the speed of light, he acquires the relativistic mass of such speed to impart blows which could hit with the force of "a white dwarf star."
