You can't just kill the Pope.

They also might have been going for some extra historical accuracy, since he didn't die in a fist fight in the vatican.

Also the fact Ezio learns killing him will not bring his family back.(Though this is changed at the end of Brotherhood when he thrown Jerkass off the building)

edit

Its not about revenge, its about the man being the freaking Pope who can shove a crusade up your ass if he wants to (not literally, but the man can kill you if he wants to). Its just silly when Ezio's like 'Our business is finished' in Brotherhod 5 minutes before getting invaded.

No, we're arguing about how good of a character Ezio is. The General (and Peach) are suffering under the delusion arguing that he is an incredible example of character development and personality, whereas I just thinks he a pretty well done archetype who matures over his game (and then at the end of AC2 wallbangs so hard he shatters the vatican. Yes, lets your greatest enemy who happens to be the most powerful man in the world live, that will go well ).

Sounds stupid.

But I'm getting the gist of it. I wants revenge. Now I understand the pointlessness of revenge and no longer want it. Snore.

Edit: I suppose I'm being unfair. I guess I just have a problem with the whole revenge concept. Some times it's a good thing, i.e Princess Bride where the guy was a monster and deserved to die and sometimes it's not.

The only time I really like revenge stories is when it shows the effects pursuing revenge leads, like True Grit(remake).

To be fair Rod wasn't the one who order the siege on Ezio's villia it was his bastard son that did for the sake of to get the apple. Rod wanted nothing else to do with Ezio after learning he was not the prophet he thought he was and merely wanted to stabilize Italy.

Pretty much.

Nathan Drake is another character from the current gen that is far superior to Ezio. He doesn't undergo a lot of development, but he's infinitely more likeable and relatable.

Ezio has balls though. Not a lot of people would have the balls to tell the most powerful man in the world "go **** yourself".

I happen to like Cole Mcgrath more than Ezio. Sure his story was cliched but that can be said for 90 % for any medium. But what Appeal to me was his relationship with Zeke and how the world demonized and wanted him but ironically he saved it by sacrificing himself to do so(if your playing good).

You'd probably like Vinland Saga then.

Oh, and Nathan Drake, better than Ezio? Really?

Nathan Drake is the most unlikeable douche I can recall in a videogame. 😐

I literally could not get through Uncharted 2 because of that, he was so annoying and such a ****ing dickhead.

I couldn't get through Uncharted 2 for way more reasons. But that was indeed one of them.

I've never played Uncharted, but one reason that never bothered me was Nathan seemed like a douche.

(the other reason was it's Tomb Raider with a guy)

Nathan feels far more 'human' than Ezio ever has.

Please, when you have douches like Squall in gaming-dom, even useless characters like Tingle are likeable in comparison.

If by "human" you mean an unlikeable ponce who needs to have a bullet splatter his brains across the pavement, then yes.

He is certainly not as likeable as Ezio or John Marston.

master chief is ovs the best video game character 😛

Your face is ovs the best video game character!

Best Character: Sephiroth, as played by Lance Bass....😐

I don't really get why people hate on Lance Bass voicing Sephiroth in KH.

I mean, all his "lines" were in gameplay, consisting of single lines and battle-cries. 😐

I guess I'd get it if Sephy had much dialogue at all. But he doesn't except while fighting him. And I find it hard to believe people notice that while fighting the hardest boss in the game.

That said, "Descend Heartless Angel" is not half as cool as "Sin Harvest". The latter has the word Sin in it, so it is much cooler.

Also, Scrooge McDuck is awesome.

Scrooge: Well, you realize if you give money to the poor, they won't be poor anymore, will they?
First Collector: Well, I—
Scrooge: And if they're not poor anymore then you won't have to raise money for them anymore.
Second Collector: Well, I suppose—
Scrooge: And if you don't have to raise money for them anymore, then you'd be out of a job. Oh please, gentlemen, don't ask me to put you out of a job. Not on Christmas Eve.

'An unlikeable ponce who needs to have a bullet splatter his brains across the pavement' is how I would describe Tingle, so no.

Nathan's more likeable than both Ezio & John combined and then cubed, brah. dur313

People must have beaten him so many times. Or you know, watched YT vids of the battle.

Ah the nostalgia. I watched that cartoon when I was a kid, then again a few months back.
Also, Scrooge is worth one multiplujillion and nine obsquatumatillion. awesome

You're objectively wrong.

There is no likeable quality about Drake.

But I mean really he doesn't sound horrendously bad. I've never imagined what Sephy would sound like so the guy sounds fine to me.
