Probably because they don't actually 'write' it, they just sit in a big circle and come up with random jokes and then throw a plot on top of it.
But still...American Dad is by no means a great show but it is a hell of a lot better than Family Guy. Shouldn't it be the other way around, considering Family Guy is the cash cow and all?
And if I didn't know any better, I'd say McFarlane is a conservative. That is how bad the writing it. XD

Family Guy is generally considered to have started going downhill at around the time "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" aired, which is indeed a shitty episode. One he didn't write.
Every now and again he may write an episode, but it is very rare, and Seth cannot be blamed for Family Guy's quality to the extent people do.

Eh, he is still the creator of the show and doesn't seem to have much of a problem with the lines, considering he is still saying them. I'd have thought he had the power to draw the line on what he would/wouldn't want said on his show but I guess he either doesn't have the authority or he doesn't care.
Either way, still pretty bad. Get some decent writers or something. 😛

Nope! American Dad actually puts effort into their jokes, which evolve naturally from the plot. Family Guy has a plot which exists to bridge the gap between cutaway jokes.
I'm watching American Dad right now actually. Stan of Arabia. Naw, McFarlands pretty heavy with the liberal propaganda.
Your new signature was better.
The Laughing Man one? Eh, green looks better than white and blue. Wait, what background do you use? Mines white.

I do think they go a little over the top with Stan at times. Dude can be a real Monster at times.
Indeed he is. But the characters are so awful that it can be interpreted that they want you to be Conservative. vin

Racist.Nemebro, only the codex's are canon. 313
Since in the 4e Chaos Codex, Magnus casually dispelled the Rubric, a spell of colossal power requiring the collaboration of the most powerful sorcerers of the Thousand Sons Legion, that blasted and destroyed the Planet of the Sorcerers surface, and was also irreparably turning the Thousand Sons Legion into dust possessing their power armour, so he casually dispelled a Life Wiper that also was capable of planetary reality warping.

Went out drinking, they played this, my jam. I think two others and I started a binging contest that involved the entire place and it's still going on now. The best things in life really are free.
