Wolf's voice was a different sort of cool in Assault. While he lost the British class and camp, he gained a low, gravelly voice that actually made him sound like a threatening rival.

No, where Wolf suddenly got lame was Brawl, when he was suddenly Texan for an unknown reason.

Yeah, I really hated that at first, but got over it after awhile. One thing about him in Brawl I didn't get over though, was the unforgivable lack of recovery with his Up+B move. His side B move was a pretty risky/suicidal attack itself too despite that it could do awesome damage if used at the right time. I can accept his blaster having as low range as it did though, with how stronger it was than Fox's and Falco's. Had to have some balance there.

And stuff.

Wolf's smooth, faux British campy accent was AWESOME.

And Leon's voice was inarguably superior in 64, holy shit what the **** happened to Leon?

Also, Pigma is not meant to be liked. Dude is legit the most despicable mother****er in the series. It says a lot about your character when you not only betrayed your friend, being responsible for his death while aiding a madman for money, but you also bring it up EVERY SINGLE TIME you talk to his son.

"Daddy screams REEEEEEEAAAAAAAL GOOD before he DIED!

Also, when I was little Andross used to terrify me. Legit.

About Leon, I knowz right?

And I suppose you're definitely right about Pigma. SF Assault made him even more unlikable than he was before too. I forgot if he actually died though in that game. Hope he did. Regardless, even Star Wolf hates him now after he left the team if I recall right.

"Uncle Andross!"

The only thing I hate about this beyblade show is the fact that my favorite character never gets a break. He is skilled, cool, and he prepares for his battles. But some whores still manage to beat him through heroic resolve. And that annoys me.

Leon's redone voice was horrible. He was affably evil with just a touch of creepy in 64, and then Assault brought the "creepy" side of it so far forward that it was too over-the-top to take seriously.

Pigma is fully assimilated by the Aparoids in Assault, but his remains show up in Command as a "cube cyborg" and the final boss of two alternate paths. Since the alternate paths are seemingly not canon (Falco creates his own team, and he and Fox retire and become F-Zero racers) it's unlikely that Pigma truly survived Assault.

Holy shit, there's someone that actual watched and like that crap.

Si. Because it is very entertaining. 😮

Except for the part where my favorite character loses. That is lame.

GK hit it right on the money. Leon's cold, low, and unnervingly polite tone of voice when contrasted with his bloodthirsty and cruel dialogue made him far creepier in 64, rather than the high-pitched psycho Assault turned him into.

Pigma was the shit though. Simply because he was so evil and unlikeable.

Lol, Andrew is awesome.

"ANDROSS'Z ENEHMEE IS MAI ENEHMEE!!!"

Man, 3DS Warp Zone is just as trippy. Nice.

Oh, and Bill is as lovably Valley as ever.

You need to watch/read more quality anime, like gantz or Vinland.

I see. Been forever since I played SF Command, so I guess I forgot. That game seemed insanely hard too compared to its predecessors, no matter what route I took for the final boss. Maybe it was the controls, idk.

And yeah, agreed about Leon, but that goes without saying.

I missed Bill. Fox, that's one of ours!

Command, in my opinion, was a misstep, but not as bad as the previous two missteps. It was hampered by only all-range mode levels and the unnecessary time limits imposed on every single stage. That said, I did like how it revived the semi-real time strategy concept that went into the scrapped Star Fox 2. And it was still better than handing the series over to Namco and getting... Assaulted.

Gotta love Bill's mild concern at the fact you're shooting down his own wingmates. "How about you try shooting the other guys, Fox?"

Couldn't agree more. I think Assault only sold as much as it did because of the multiplayer, but even then, I enjoyed SF Adventures more than that game, even if it was a ripoff of other things. I usually hear people say that Krystal or Fox having a love interest was what killed the series or made it go downhill after SF64, and while there could be some truth to that, everything else about like Assault was definitely more problematic.

lol Yeah. Sometimes even Peppy or someone would take down one of Bill's guys as well.

Adventures was a great game! It just... wasn't Star Fox. I spent forever getting all the secrets and exploring every inch of that game in true Zelda style, but in the end it simply doesn't fit the series.

Assault, on the other hand, actively insulted the series with a rip-off story, unnecessary character changes, and the barest smattering of flying levels between an excess of slow, poorly-controlled on-foot levels. The multiplayer was admittedly great, even for Star Fox, but the game itself was a stew of poor decisions and failed delivery. Bad Namco, and bad Nintendo for giving it to them.

What channel do they come on?

And here we have the problem. ^^

Vinland doesn't have an anime Gantz has an anime but it sucks ass. You'll have to go read the mangas.

Indeed, though I did like how you could stand on Wolf's or someone's ship and blast everything in sight while they were flying around. That was probably the only new gameplay feature of Assault that made it worthwhile for me for at least one playthrough.

Agreed on Adventures, and same here basically. I remember looking through every nook and cranny for scarabs so I could get everything from the shop. Funny shop owner that was, though not as funny as the glitches with Tricky. xd The Krazoa Spirit tests were probably the funnest parts of the game, or getting the Spellstones or whatever. I remember there being like a fear test where you had to not let the meter at the top go all the way to the left or the right, and there were raptors running around, a giant version of General Scales grabbing you, and everything. Was prolly the most intense part. I hated the button mashing parts though.

Why did you refer to them as quality anime if I need to read the manga? o.O

The fear test is the part of SFA that sticks with me the strongest even now. It was ridiculously difficult, at least for me, and in fact was the first time I ever used the pencil trick to tap the buttons faster than humanly possible. It did in fact scare me, and I loved it all the same.

And admittedly, Adventures did give Fox his best characterization as a snarky 90s style action hero. My personal interpretation of him is still that, just as a pilot.

A lack of flying levels sounds fine to me, since those are what makes me dislike Star Fox in general 😛

...Theres only one thing you hate about it? The only think I liked is how the welsh channel does it.

Does this character match up to the greatness that is Ray and Kai?
