Anyone here a massive fanboy/girl for something?

Let's see how well you know me. Can you guess what I'm a fanboy of? 😮

Twilight.

Well, in a way I guess. My mom has all the movies and books. And I've read/watched them all.

I've heard they're quite hilarious.

The movies are, if only for the hoaky acting.

The books are painful though.

OMG WHAT DID THEY DO TO THAT GUYS HEAD!

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

The Bad Guy's? o.O

I'm still watching A Game of Thrones. Some idiot dude just got a pot of boiling gold tipped on his head.

Squick. 😘

The books are way more brutal than the show.

Yeah but I don't have to actually watch it.

Who the hell can afford to kill people with gold?

Well, the one that did it was a massively powerful warlord - basically a king - and they were in a city where no blood could be shed. The one who was killed in that manner was a prince-in-exile, and was insisting that he be helped to regain his crown.

Well, he was crowned in gold, in the end...

It was symbolic.

And frankly, Viserys was a douchebag of the highest degree. The way he behaved, it was pretty obvious that he was going to fall, and hard.

Also, I would say that a lot of the viciousness of Game of Thrones is subverting how in most fantasy novels in a medieval time period, they either gloss over how terrible a lot of things in that time period were, or act like things were all happiness and sparkles. Which isn't true at all. Good guys died, bad guys won, and life was complete hell for almost everyone.

Oh damn, he must have really pissed someone off. Though I could think of a few ways to kill someone without drawing blood. Far less expensive ways.

He managed to stand out as a massive scumbag amongst a cast of despicable characters, so yeah.

And sure, but as GK said, it was also symbolic. He got a crown...just not as he wanted.

The whole country seems like its going down the shitter. King dead. The Houses fighting. Winter coming. Crazy barbarian people attacking the wall. Horselords looking like they'll invade.

Next thing those dragon eggs will hatch and ****ing dragons'll have a shit on Starks head.

Btw, by the power of YouTube, I think I've found your favourite death-scene. Pretty boy sure kicked it in a nasty way.
