I know, but that she could even become Fire Lord was the point. The Fire Nation is the most progressive one seen, with women in the military, Azula etc And this is in contrast to the Northen Water Tribes sexist suckfest.

Whats the Fire Nation places like? The ones without war-stations.

I would go with Earthbending if just the abilities. If we're also having to live in the respective cultures, the Fire Nation does seem to have a higher quality of life in general. But then, most citizens aren't Benders.

I was going just by abilities but I guess culture is coming into play.

Bending the iron in blood as an earthbender would be pretty kickass. Of course, a firebender might be able to lightningbend the neurons in the human brain, so they have a claim, as well. But it is important not to forget that waterbenders are shown to be able to bend the liquid in human bodies; what's to stop them from bending the water in one half of the brain away from that in the other half?

What I'm saying is that they're all cool except for airbenders, who can only asphyxiate people.

Classism is pretty evident in the Fire Nation.

As well as pollution.

The Earth Kingdom is just as progressed as the Fire Nation in most ways short of technology.

But would still prefer Firebending abilities.

Are they? I don't recall them being that progressive at all really. The Earth Kingdom was very traditional as far as I remember.
