Tbh the bending elements are basically equal, assuming favorable conditions (Aka Earthbenders have earth around and waterbenders water).

And since their superior technology centered around their bending more often than not, their bending is>Earth. 😮

Well whenever a fight broke out between a fire bender and earth bender, fire guys usually won. And Zuko usually beat Katara in a fight.

So maybe is goes: Air>Fire>Earth~Water? Would make sense that the Firebenders take out the strongest group while at their strongest.

I thought the Fire Nation attacked the Air Nomads because the next Avatar in the cycle would be an Airbender. Also, I reasoned that Aang could hold his own and beat Zuko because he was a master at the age of 12, whereas Zuko was still learning.

I need a new signature. Someone reccommend a theme.

True. Though as of Book 3, Katara & Zuko are more or less equal under neutral conditions.

More like Air = Fire = Earth = Water on an overall basis. Air is hax IMO, but no Air Nomad would really use it with deadly intent.
