Yeah, it will blow over eventually. I just don't think that many people would like to find themselves living in a police state junta after it does.

It's not paranoia when it's obvious to anyone that the US looks now like tyrannical state. You don't let it "blow over", you kick your government in the rear and remind them of their place.

Between the online censorship act and this one things really aren't looking up cheery thats for sure.

I can live without the internet for a bit.

If he veto's the bills, perhaps. They can override him though it might be difficult.

If it gets passed, I think only the Supreme Court has the power to stop it.

Obama... the reauthorize the Patriot Act and start 3 more wars guy?

IF he vetoes it I'm sure it'll be purely for political gain.

Whatever the reason for doing it, I'd think getting rid of it would be the only thing that matters.
