It's kind of annoying how the 5e Tyranid codex is written from a limited narration perspective. I don't remember the writer doing that in the IG codex.
And Cruddace is the most boring codex writer.
At least Ward's multiple blunders are EPIC blunders.
I am going to go ahead and prove myself both a bigger badass than everyone here, as well as the man with the most integrity.
BT should not have been banned for his actions in the Math thread, if CosmicComet was allowed to slide for his.
Let me state that I am in no way biased for BT, nor against CC, in fact, if anything, it would be quite the opposite. I loved CC's inflammatory post against BT, and thought BT was being a whiny git.
But BT pointing out the laughably light slap on the wrist CC compared to the hostile modding he was receiving for his, relative to CC, mild rudeness was legitimate.
CC outright flamed, bashed, taunted, and insulted BT multiple times throughout an eleven post beatdown, and while that does not make his points any less legitimate like BT seemed to think, and do not take from this post that I am saying BT did not ask for his ban. He really, really did, and socking exacerbated the situation to an even greater extent, plus he was being a drama queen. I mean Jesus, I like to imagine I'm the forum equivelant of the dashing, roguish outlaw that you both can't help but love, but I've been banned by you guys three or four times. 131 I'm not saying that BT should not be banned, if that is the impression you got from my post earlier, you were incorrect (Though I did badly phrase the second segment of my post admittedly, leading to the confusion)... Only that the slap on the wrist CosmicComet got was exceedingly light in comparison (And I have indeed myself been banned for lesS). I think that the post being addressed to BT may have given you cause to go easy on him.
I don't really have any expectation of this post getting anything done (Nor do I mean to insult or demean you both, frankly you are two of the better mods I've had over me on a forum, and you are, as you say, mostly lenient, I just believe that you both can favor or disfavor different posters), nor do I really want it to, but it was something I feel needed to be said.
tl;dr, I'll eat all of your faces.
Edit: I should probably clarify that it is not my intention to argue the mod decisions, if you do not wish to discuss them, then I hold no delusions of trying to make you. I was mostly just posting because I would feel kind of shitty if I did not.

The problem with City of Heroes is it's so old now I’d be the only one playing it, it felt true the last time I was playing it like 2-3 years ago. The new one (DC universe) they brought out I already played. It's super fun, for like a week... gets old much too quickly.
I also tried Warhammer, DaoC, Age of Conan, Rift. They all have their own niceties but on the whole they will never fill the void that Warcraft leaves.
And Guild Wars? ......It’s no secret that I have a loathing of this game that is certainly deeply bias. The story of why I’m bias is long and boring, full of sighs. So very quickly the reasons I don’t like it are;

Just things I thought of from the top of my head.
That said Tera looks like it might have potential =)

I'm done with MMOs for the time being. Also, WoW having a bad community is usually largely exaggerated. Usually.
Yes it’s exagurrated mostly because it works out something like;
70% of people don’t speak and fall in-between neutral and nice people.
20% of people do speak with varying degree’s of hostility or even what could be called malice
10% of people do speak and are generally really quite nice
MMO’s generally seem to possess the third worse communities next to FPS. Honestly in my experience RTS’s have the nicest communities. Always been easy to find someone to practise with whose happy to criticise constructively. Only like 5% of people I meet are bad apples.
We all ought to know the worse community of any game belongs to the DotA types.

Yes, it's hard to disagree with that assessment. LoL is the DotA-type that has the best community in my experience. That's still not saying much though.

Lots of words aaaargh
The decision to ban him took in multiple actions, not simply his conduct in that single thread. Trolling, abusing the report system, multiple cases of ignoring multiple mods' orders to drop specific issues, the aforementioned insulting PMs.
His last ban was over a year ago. In our opinion, taken cumulatively his actions warranted another temporary ban, and considering his last ban was a week, this ban was three. However, the decision to create a sock account merits a perm ban, so it shall be.
I understand your concern if you take only the math thread, but understand he was banned because of a number of issues, not just that.

I can only sustain a couple of hours of League a week unhindered. I seriously think the longer you can play that game unaffected the better your Will-power feat =\ Or something like that.Your team-mates are always your worst enemy. haermm But no seriously, **** that game's community,I dunno about you but I always either get teammates that don't speak english or don't talk at all.
And then they spend the whole game jungling. haermm
LoL's community isn't as bad as the original DotA's or HoN's(quite possibly the worst community of any online video game I've played ever. Quite a bit worse than even that of Counter-Strike's).
I've played LoL and got to 1610~ ELO on Season 2 before going on a hiatus. The douchenozzles don't bother me very much since I've played DotA-Allstars for a very long time(among other online games). You eventually grow a thick skin.
Also, I'll point out that the ultimate reason why BT was banned? Was because he was told multiple times to stop arguing in the thread and refused to do so. Everyone had been told to stop, not just him - but he decided he was going to whine and argue about it and not actually drop it. That is what got him banned.

The fact that GW's max level can be reached quickly is not a bad thing. It's not a game about grind. It's not about leveling up. That part of the game is utterly unimportant. As it should be - grind and leveling is a shit mechanic to try and make a game last longer than it should. Being good at that game requires actually thinking about your skills and how they work together, not how long you spend grinding up levels.
Lack of an auction house is kind of annoying but really not a big deal in the least, and I've sold some pricey things before in that game - including one of the rarest and most expensive items to ever exist. But most of your complaints just show you didn't play very much D:
But then again...WoW fan...that game kind of caters to the lowest denominator 😛
