I've applied for all those jobs, lol. I'm legit down to "chase chickens" for shit I haven't applied for, and now I've applied for that, too.

I'm having the same problem as Screampaste and I don't even live in Canada. I get an IT contract now and then, just enough to make it but finding permanent work even just a minimum wage job has become difficult. This is after 5+ years in IT... lol

Depending on where you are, of course, which is why I was wondering where he's located in Canada.

My sister moved from 'Frisco to Sacramento to get away from the ridiculously expensive standard of living in the California bay area, spent 6 months there looking for a job, failed to find one, got evicted from her apartment, moved back here, and got a job as a secretary making $18 an hour after less than two weeks searching.

The job and housing market here never really "crashed", per say. Granted, San Francisco hardly represents the norm.

Pretty much in the same boat too, aside from being in IT.
