I liked Frankenstein more than Heart of Darkness....

But yeah, I still didn't like it very much. Victor is dumb.

I couldn't even finish that piece of shit.

Jesus Christ I hated that book so much.

**** that "didn't age well" bullshit, that book was such trite garbage I can't even begin to fathom how such a flowery, purple-prosed piece of shit became even halfway famous.

Dracula on the other hand was pretty enjoyable. estahuh

With his manly ass mustache.

See, I thought Dracula was terrible. It was just so...boring.

Not a fan of most classic novels, though, no. Most are indeed incredibly overrated. And I hate the whole "there's symbolism in everything!" thing teachers try to push on you in school. Sometimes it's just there cos the author liked it, it doesn't have any hidden meaning!

I didn't ask for your misguided opinion Peach. estahuh

Yes. I can summarize the whole plot easily. The guy goes up a river, meets a crazy person, and then leaves the river.

It's a 77 paged book and yet it's apparently a classic. F*ck, I miss Wuthering Heights. That book was old but still fun to read.

I read half of Wuthering Heights in Grade 5 and hated it. Maybe I should read it again. mmm

Moby Dick is one of the few "classic" novels I think is a good read.

I absolutely despise Moby Dick.

Lol, why?

I just thought it was monstrously boring.

Mother****er split your lungs with blood and thunder.

Take that back!

Captain Ahab was manly as ****.

Rational person after getting their leg bitten off by a whale: Damn this ****ing sucks man, I'll have to get a peg leg, but nothing I can do about it...

Captain Ahab after getting his leg bitten off by a whale: FFFFFFFFFFFF**** YOU WHALE! I WILL PROCEED TO SEARCH THE ENTIRE MOTHER****ING OCEAN FOR ONE SPECIFIC ****ING WHALE AND KILL IT TO DEATH!

It's entertaining. Heathcliff is such a bastard. Really no one is likable except...well no one.

Wizard of Oz was my classic. Read the shit out of that book.

I'd say A Tale of Two Cities is my classic.

my computer speakers lightly pick up a radio station...

All my rage! I hate radio, I hate most music, and I hate talk shows in the morning.

Okay, you're forgiven for your earlier comment about Moby Dick.

Heathcliff was the only character I found remotely interesting.

I don't have a classic per se, but I do like a few of the novels by Charles Dickens. I don't know if Ulysses can be classified as a classic, but if it were, it would be mine.

And the rest are his targets. It's pretty funny.

The Iliad counts as a classic right? So I suppose it would be mine if Wizard of Oz doesn't count as one.

Not a big reader but I can't remember a classic that I really enjoyed. Not much for the "there's symbolism in everything!" either, probs why 😬

Some things really do end up selling that point at times.

Like Scarlet Letter. There is no way the tapestry that guy picked for his room was a coincidence. No possible way.
