I dunno. I never thought he was too delicious. He seemed more suspicious than a lot of other villains.
I wouldn't say he was ever that great of a villain. His reveal was brilliant and he came off immediately as a credible threat after that. But following his escape from Soul Society he didn't really do anything except talk condescendingly to the Espada and make vaguely threatening statements. There like 300 chapters where he does jack shit villianous or to remind us why he's the Big Bad. And then the Karakura Town fight happens and he's easily trapped behind a wall of flame and he just doesn't care or show any emotion. And then after he gets out we get a trip to sucksville.
And no, Liebert is teh best villain evar stfu! >_<
