I'm not sure how you would pull off a Legacy of Kain game without time travel BS. That's like the whole point.

Considering that they are rebooting it means they are just going to focus setting up Kain first before starting to go into the time traveling or they may just scrap it for some better story telling technique.

LoK's storytelling was pretty great to be honest. And I'd have preferred a game that continued the established storyline. Kain's an awesome character.
Still, thanks to time-traveling shenanigans, the reboot could co-exist with the established time-line.

Gameplay akin to that of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is what I think they should aim for, unless they intend to utilize mechanics similar to that of the first Soul Reaver.
