Also the movie was really good. Stuck closely to the story, didn't overdo the romance part, and while the violence was toned down to fit a PG-13 rating, it was done in a way where it wasn't obvious they were doing it, if that makes sense. I enjoyed it.

That's BS, far as I'm concerned. I'm playing I Am Alive, which is certainly survival horror, and it is excellent and absorbing and all around a great game. Capcom just needs to try new ways of doing the horror bit.
I Am Alive is scary without a single supernatural pseudo-scientific creature, or indeed any sort of non-human in sight.
