Lex Luthor in the majority of his comics actually has good publicity, and Superman murdering him would make Superman a pariah,

Which just proves the point about how stupid everyone is in the DC Universe.

Food for thought: The United States military just blew up a house last sunday via Predator drone strike that is confirmed to have had no one in it except for a non-combatant mother and her non-combatant 5 children. So that's 6 innocent people dead.

No one gives a shit. Seriously, no one cares except the people who hate us already. The US Government's image on the international scene is actually better now than it was 5 years ago, despite the fact that we're killing record numbers of innocent civilians via collateral damage. No one cares at all.

Conversely, you have psychotic Lex and psychotic Joker, both of whom are publically known criminals and murderers, and killing them is off-limits because... apparently doing so would create an uproar. Despite the fact that both people are criminals, despite the fact that the two people who killed them are heroes who have saved the world a thousand times over. No, apparently Batman and Superman's streetcred is so low that if they did the world a favor by wiping out some maniacs, they'd become pariahs.

That might be true in the DC Universe- but that just goes to show how incredibly idiotic and unrealistic the DC Universe is.

Hence my bitterness with DC/Marvel comics.

Except that Lex isn't a publicly known villain. He actually spends millions of dollars spinning things to his advantage, and to the majority of the public he's actually seen as a benevolent Bill Gates type, rather than a Murdoch.

That, and, you know, the real world isn't exactly doing great by itself when people like you know who can get voted in to office for what, two terms? ๐Ÿ˜›

How do you hide the fact that you've been to jail several times and blown up buildings in you giantr purple and green robo-suit? haha ๐Ÿ˜‚

And yeah, that's my point. If someone shot you-know-who, people would be dancing in the streets. lol

He's been acquitted almost every time, and when he's been in his "robo suit" he has found a way around it.

It's not that people are stupid, it's just that Lex is that devious.

Maybe, but he still got in to office, still had power, and nobody has shot him.

And yet the same people can't tell Clark is Superman even though the only thing he wears for a disguise are a pair of glasses.

The taxi caaaaaaaaaab!

^Didn't they create some vibration shit to cover that?

I can understand Batman not wanting to break his code by killing the Joker, but why can't they execute him when they have him locked up?

Thanks for displaying your utter ignorance of the character ๐Ÿ‘†

But no, seriously, you're actually wrong.

Yes; in most photographs Superman's face is slightly obscured. Then there's the rest of the things he does to make the two men look different.

Not to mention the fact that when people have said they look alike, they've shown both men standing alongside one another.

I finally got a comic fact right, my bucket list is complete.

I thought it was kind of funny myself.

Also you limit your potential geek-credentials.

It really wasn't.

And like I care.

Yeah, though when it comes to villains on the other hand, Nolan-verse Joker > Film Loki, not that the latter wasn't an enjoyable performance too.

Tommy. As far as coolness goes, he was best as the Green Ranger IMO.

Also, hai.

Agreed. Nolan-verse Joker was bawss.
As for Loki, I liked him much more in Thor. Felt more sympathetic towards him. He wasn't that great in Avengers.

Ah, okay. Liked him as the White Ranger too.

Sup?

If you need to rip fable off you should stop making games.

F*** no.
But Movie Tony Stark > Nolan-verse Bruce Wayne.

It's true. ๐Ÿ˜›

Does he qualify as the hero then? If so, Avengers has it beat as far as supporting cast goes. Hell, in many ways I liked Loki more than the Joker(though Ledger does give a better performance in just how much he got out of the role). ๐Ÿ˜›

F*** no.

More of an ensemble cast of characters. Stark is easily the best character in that universe though.
Loki was better in Thor than he was in Avengers IMO, but I still think The Joker was the better antagonist/villain.

Loki was more sympathetic and 3-dimensional in Thor, but he was far superior as a villain in Avengers. He's quite chilling at points, whereas in Thor I never saw him as a serious threat (Thor beats him by just putting his hammer on his chest and walking away).

Why...

Because people are dicks?

Well, there goes my smile. ๐Ÿ˜

Nothing like local authority abusing their power to get sick kicks. Did anyone even look at their psychiatric profiles before enlisting them?
