And I'd rather be a math doing neckbeard than someone who can look at canon instances of people doing things and straight up deny it happened.
But that's different, right?
It's funny how we all choose our own reality. I've never been able to fathom how you'll cry game-mechanics anytime someone shows you something from the game you don't like, and yet you simultaneously view things like plot induced stupidity and toonforce as cop-outs. That doesn't sound a little bit like selective listening to you? If you asked Shigeru Miyamoto if Mario would struggle to lift 500,000 pounds or not, his reply would probably be something along the lines of "...he's a cartoon character."

I'm sorry that we pissed you off the the extent that you decided to pretty much just leave, but you should understand that it's just as frustrating for us to see you bring up the same arguments again and again that, we feel, we've dealt with already numerous times.

I'm pretty sure I'm the first person to cite that Link being invulnerable on Epona is gameplay mechanics, for example?
Also, the example you used, walking into a goomba is a really, really weak one. How about dat Kratos guy, getting stabbed by mooks and shit.
Edit: Anyway, I'm done my little rant I suppose. It's worth noting I don't dislike the people here, but debate seems pointless.
Valley wasn't a physical feat iirc, and quick calc says GG > Goron punch.
The only debate that doesnt seem to be going anywhere is the Link lightning timing business. Everything else can be easily sorted out... actually I don't even think there's anything left to sort out O.o

It isn't my fault, man. I rarely made threads in the first place, and only ever really argued against BT and Quan.

I can understand becoming a jaded old man, I don't bother with the pseudo-debating that goes on here either, unless Nemebro needs a clip on the ear. There's a difference between being tired of the discussion and thinking everyone around you is a dense retard, though.

Also, that hurts your point more than helps, since looney toonish things happening could account for Goombas hurting Mario, Kratos just gets stabbed by grimdark mooks of grimdarkery.

Yes, because it's not like video games require actual attention or that stopping the game randomly at certain bits would completely disrupt gameplay or anything. It wouldn't be jarring at all.
How would that even work if you're playing something like Dark Souls that's constantly online? =/
