Well, she was a protagonist and quite a prominent one at that. She was awful and pointless. I still hate her.

She was a supporting character, at best a female lead. She wasn't "the protagonist", though. Samus, Lara Croft and Bayonetta would be protagonists.

FemShep technically doesn't exist, and besides, because you define her personality, she can potentially be a petty, whoring *****.

Best female leads off the top of my head would be Lara Croft and... Yuna, I guess...

Samus is disqualified because she basically has no personality until Other M, at which point her character arc is based off of... a relationship. Like every other female,lead. Sigh.

Aigis is technically the protagonist of The Answer though, so Blax is definitely wrong.
