If you could trade places with anyone from history, who would it be?

That one Emperor of Rome who accidentally billions in debt. :>

Are you guys planning to get Hitman Absolution over Assassin's Creed III or vice versa? Just curious.

Hmmmm, punching nuns in the face or tomahawking Ben Franklin to death? Thats a tough choice. mmm

nuns cometh and go but Benjamin is priceless.

As for historical figure to trade places with...probably Rameses II just for the hell of it.

Toughness 3 ensures that any IG force won't have "overwhelming numbers" for long. Strength 4+ blast will tickle most MEQ's and only kill a few models, yet would completely obliterate an entire blob of guardsmen.

Why are you using a blob of guardsmen instead of a mechanized list? That you suck at the game is hardly the GK's fault.

And gunlines are only good against the Wulves. Blood Angels have horrible Matt Ward rules that allow them to deep strike Dreads and ****ing Land Raiders- all you gotta do is deep strike behind the gunline's armor and once that's dead the gunline falls apart.

The Wolves have some of the best gunlines in the ****ing game.

Deep Striking Dreads can indeed be a cheese cake, Land Raiders? Lol. Land Raiders are big. Which means they are far more likely to mishap. Even if you don't, that puts them dangerously close to Melta Range, which your ****ing Chimera should be capable of cheesing out through the top hatch.

Imotek is literally the most overpowered special character in the game who also has terrible Matt Ward rules. Just by existing, that robotic whore passively makes the first turn nightfighting, and as long as you roll a D6 that's less than the turn number it stays nightfighting, which means that a gunline can't do anything but sit there and wait for nightfighting to end. Oh but wait! The second part of Imotek's terribly overpowered Matt Ward rule is that any enemy model that isn't attacking or being attacked gets auto-hit by D6 strength 8 lightning blasts. Every single model.

I don't give a **** about 5e Necrons.

And... No, while you are right about the night fighting rule, the Necron player has to roll a D6 for every single unengaged unit to do the D6 S8 AP5 attacks, and to succeed you need a 6, making it not nearly as broken as you made it sound.

So while your gunline is standing there, waiting for nightfighting to end, it's also getting struck by ****ing strength 8 lightning blasts. Guess what ****ing strength 8 lightning blasts does to toughness 3 guardsmen?

Whine whine whine whine.

So having a static gunline who just stands there and shoots doesn't work due to nightfighting+****ing strength 8 lightning blasts. But wait! Moving forward counters nightfighting doesn't it!? Yeah it does, but you can't move forward- why? Because the Necron player brought his other overpowered Matt Ward character, the C'Tan! This poorly written sun-eating whore has an ability that passively makes almost the entire map dangerous terrain! So if you move, your poor T3 guardsmen die.

If your guardsmen have to move through difficult terrain, and are in it in a gunline, chances are they are all getting a 4+ at the worst save, invalidating half of the at most six S8 lightning strikes. If they are not, they should probably be in a ****ing tank.

So if you move your guardsmen, they die. If your guardsmen stand still, they're blinded by nightfighting and get struck by ****ing strength 8 lightning until they're all dead. Wow, that's really fair.

Wow what a whiner.

TLDR real men play shitty codex's like IG and Black Templars, limp-wristed gurly men and dudes with soft hands use Ward codex's.

The Imperial Guard have one of the best codices in the game, but you never saw me whining about how my Necron Warriors were getting vaped by S8 large blasts pounded on me by the Emperor's Finest. Because I am a real man, and you are a sissy girl.

Charlie Chaplin.

You noobs need to familiarize yourselves with 6E.

Tyranids now have the strongest MC's in the game- Nidzilla with a Flyrant at it's head is feared by the populace.

4+ cover saves are only for ruins now. Standard cover is now a 5+ save.

Vehicle durability was universally nerfed, with transports getting shafted the hardest.

Mech spam is no longer viable because vehicles are all easier to kill and as well the game is more objective based, so you have to have lots of scoring units.

Skimmers and flyers now own the game. Footslogging is the new Fonzy.

Step your game up, you fewlz. This is 6E god damn it. We've entered the age of Chaos armies with Tau allies!

Tau is cool with Chaos?

I thought the Tau were the good guys (mostly).

Same i thought they were the most good of the verse of assholes, so am curious.

I guess in the way that they havent had enough time to get down into the real nasty business but the tau can pretty much ally with anyone even except the nids for pretty obvious reasons

I was going to add the Necron to that list, but then I remembered they've been changed to 'hi-larious' slapstick robots.

there are still some necrons that are like the 3rd edition ones and people can still play their army like those necrons so its not that bad of a change

plus the only ctan that matters is still under mars flex

No, the Dragon is confirmed to be smashed into pieces, you mewling simpleton.

pfft please like you know anything of 40k now

I mean look at you still thinking parking lots are good

IKR? Nemebro is failing his Gods.

The Dragon of Mars is a punk in the fluff now, though. Ahahhaa, what a loser. Necrons suck.

necrons always sucked bam

They're good in SoulStorm.

A shard of the Void Dragon nearly killed the Emperor and was immune to his attacks until he found a weak spot.

Necrons > Void Dragon (Complete) > Emperor > Void Dragon Shard > Chaos Gods

I hate Necrons in DoW. They're fantastically good. They rape the Guard in that game as easily as they do on the tabletop.

Speaking of which, I'm playing through Winter Assault right now. Totally forgot how amazing the first two Dawn of War games were.

Edit- The Emperor beat the Dragon using a 16th century sword and shield. And a horse. The dragon's such a pussy. I bet Master Chief could beat it.
