Oh, okay. Well that's good to hear, though I knew that much about the titans having their original VA's from the commercial. Guess I could watch it every now and then, as a chibi Slade could be amusing, in addition to what the rest of the show has to offer. 😛 Maybe there will even be a pirate Deathstroke like that 3rd Injustice costume!

I think the idea of Link being female in one incarnation while pointless, doesn't go against any lore I know of or break any of my head canons.I think the idea of Link as a stuffy, sheltered prince is stupid, though, since that kinda annihilates the point of his existence in the franchise.
Its not that Link is female, its just that Zelda is the protagonist. I think its a damn cool concept. Zelda does have one of the Triforce pieces so she should be just as capable of badassery as Link and Ganon. And tbh her being a damsel in distress every game and needing Link to save the day is incredibly archaic and lame. Super Princess Peach this ***** up.
Plus it would allow them to change up the gameplay and silence alot of the criticism for the LoZ series that I've seen.
Nephthys confirmed for having never played Wind Waker where Zelda(Tetra) is much more worldly than Link and saves him several times. It's also the first time that Zelda participates in the final boss battle. Also Nephthys confirmed for never having watched the ending credits of Skyward Sword which shows everything Zelda had to do in her adventures while you were involved in Link's story.
The guy definitely has some interesting ideas, but if we are looking for a strong woman character she shouldn't be emulating a man. A strong woman is a strong woman, not an imitation of a strong man.
The steampunk style setting and the heavily involved magic are great ideas though. I'd love to see more magic in the LoZ series.
Was reading Hyrule Historia last night and I'm in the section about Twilight Princess. Turns out the Hero's Shade is the Hero of Time(and Termina) like we all expected, but it also states that the Link in TP is a direct descendant of the Hero of Time.

So, who did Big Nosed Link bang to carry on his genes is the question.

It could be a good idea, but if done only for some BS political correctness, then it's not worth it.
Change for the sake of change is pointless, and even detrimental. Gender swapping Link, while random and arbitrary would be fine. Turning Link, the designated hero who has had cosmic forces single him out to be heroic, reduced to snotty nobility actually breaks canon.
Paragraph one of the linked website:
"Well, technically not actually gender-swapped since both Link and eternal damsel Zelda are still Link and Zelda. But Diaz has come up with a pitch where Zelda is "an aspiring battle mage" while Link is a sheltered prince unaware of the turmoil in his kingdom in "The Legend of Zelda: Clockwork Empire.""
So it's not "just" Zelda as the protaganist, it's turning Link into a damsel because 'take that, gender roles! Women can be heroic too.'. Which kind of ignores that Zelda has been one of the most capable characters in almost every game she's been in.
Even in the original 1986 Zelda, she was the one who split up her piece of the triforce so Ganon couldn't take it. The only games I can think of where she's truly unhelpful are Zelda II, where she's asleep, and aLttP where she chills in a church all game.
Every other game she's in she's actually a pretty strong character, and she can do that without being the protagonist who rescues royalty.
