He comes from the 5th dimension, and is a 5th dimensional imp, all are vastly powerful, but Mxy seems to be especially so. He destroyed several multiverses and then remade them in an instant, his power is called Super Science Magic. Since it is magic, Superman Prime is completely immune to it, which is how he captured him.
