no because Mxy is said to be near omnipotent with magic, i dont use ABC logic, unless Kain is allowed to shield himself before the battle but the only reason he doesnt just snap his fingers and defeat SMP is because hes immune to magic...
also couldnt Mxy just create a blackhole or something crazy, apparently his unlimited, unless SMP has a field that blocks magic around him and stops other from using it, he cannot survive something such as a blackhole that mxy surely could create through his magic
Kain uses magic to control aspects of time and reality, just because magic did it does not mean its magic thats attacking SMP, he would have to also be immune to time powers or effects, just because magic did something does not automatically mean SMP is immune to it, just immune to magic itself. But an indirect ability that creates something non magical could harm him.
