How, considering it's decreasing the number of members who post on KMC?Right, more people who decide to post for a day or two and forget about the site completely.
I hope you're not going by the number of registered users. You'd be surprised by how many people who just register so that people can't take certain usernames (found this out myself when I tried to see if certain usernames were already taken). The reason I know is because I checked the profiles of these users; they had 0 posts.
Another good question. How many times has Judge registered here? ๐
Frankly, a decrease would not do any harm to KMC. The place ran fine with 16,000 registered members when I joined.
Not everyone who joins only posts once or twice. If that were the case then there'd NEVER be new posters.
And again, why are you explaining things to me that I know already and know much better than you do? I'm aware of the fact that people join and don't post. Though somehow I doubt it's so people can't take certain usernames. More they joined to view an attachment (that's how I joined originally) and then just didn't actually feel a need to post.
And Judge has made a fair number of socks but not enough to make any difference.

That's probably why there are currently only around some hundred people in the off-topic forum, which is at least the third most frequented forum on the site.
Third most active? The OTF is THE most active. There's really no arguing that.
You really can't go by how many people you see on the active users list, either. A lot of people browse on invisible mode. Rather like yourself.
The thing with KMC is that a lot of the individual forums end up being their own mini-societies and thus a lot of the people who post in one forum don't generally post in other forums very often. The people who primarily post in the OTF are not generally seen elsewhere. The Harry Potter and POTC fans stick to their forums. CB VS regulars do the same. And so on.

Either he Knits or I don't get it
Oh man, I knew what you meant but this still cracked me the hell up. Especially as I love to knit and am working on several things right now ๐
He makes sock accounts. He was originally banned ages ago for spamming porn.

The OTF scared me when i joined, as you conviently put it, mini societies. Like being the new kid at school all over again.
Still don't post there because of it and i'm a big fat loud mouth ๐

Don't worry, I never really posted in there when I first joined, either. I just stuck to the Matrix and Hosted Roleplay forums for a long time ๐
The anti-newbie sentiment that used to very much be present in there has definitely died down a lot, though. People used to be really nasty to new members for no reason at all, it was ridiculous. I mean, obviously, if you're new, you're not going to know everything about how the forums are run and stuff, but being nasty isn't going to help people learn ermm
And it was funny. I'm tempted to say 'knitting' instead of 'socking' now and see how many people figure it out ๐

Well thats comforting, means i'm not beinmg illogical ^^
Jeez, thats exactly the thing a newbie would fear, and it actually used to happen? that's terrible, and hard to forgive . . .
hehe, yeah that would be amusing i beat ^^

Nah, it's normal. The OTF can be very clique-ish.
People used to be terrible. I really can't understand why they were. I know it always annoyed me - everyone's new at some point. Very few people are perfect when they join a site...hell, very first thing I did when I joined KMC was get in an argument in the Matrix forums ermm ๐ Once people realised how moronic and hypocritical they were being (with some generous help via smacking upside the head from those of us who have a bit more common sense), it really stopped being a problem. It still pops up from time to time but it's not nearly so bad as it was a year or two ago.
And basically everything I do can be summed up by the quote "I did it for the lulz" ๐ I'm forever doing things when I'm bored just to see what reactions are or if anyone notices. I'm weird and easily amused.

Good Stuff, not so much the second part though
It's good certain folks stepped in and stopped the nonsense then ๐ Still wacky how we are so territorial without realising it ^^ Might give it a try, like dipping your toe into the bath to test the water. Maybe we'll have to see if i can find a nice lil thread to start in.
Haha, that's good have to remember that if i see anything random ๐ Weird and Easily Amused... aren't we all? aren't we all indeed
Wow that sounds like something we should wear as a badge WEA. Would be sort of like WE'A that club you've heard of
Originally posted by LanaIt's since you're acting as if thousands of people actually post on KMC. Still going by number of registrations on this site? ๐

And it would affect the total KMC population since it's what makes the actual population no more than 600 at most (that's being quite generous) as opposed to several thousand you constantly blab about.
