My friend got it from school through a program for free, and I could haveto if I didn't already have it, so the cost for me and the people I know to get it... would be nothing.

my dads friend, has the whole software on his PC, so i just lend the disks to install the programs onto my own.

Isn't that technically illegal, even though I do the exact same thing?

No, because it's not downloaded, that person brought the product, i mealy borrow the disks for educational usage, i tried to buy the actual product but i had insufficient RAM.

Now i have a free way of using the programs, but adobe have still made a profit from the guy buying it himself.

No, actually, technically it IS illegal. You are using it without paying for it.
