Anything is deadly in the wrong hands. And Luthor was the first to use anything other than hands. He said himself that if he is not quick enough, he would have to be smarter. Right there he pretty much said that the fight would not be a fistfight straight through. Just like how Luthor used what he got, Joker used what he got. Joker just happened to have deadly acid on him.

It is not cheating since no terms were set to begin with. It was simply two men in an attempt to settle a feude. If one had to die, then so be it. In the end, Joker had the upper hand for using what he got. Was he supposed to not use his flower because the fight should have gone down fair? Does not sound like the Joker I know. Playing fair would not really cross my mind either if a life was on stake. Heck, I would probably use a gun if I had one and got the chance to save my life 😛

2. True, but it does not prove as a fighter Joker is superior to Lex, in fact in proves quite the opposite. Luthor was beating Joker and was on top of him beating his face before Joker used the acid(which prolly would not kill him, just a fun fact). And no one died, it was not a duel to the death.
