Yes, I would recommend Vesperia, as I would most Tales games (though most definitely not Legendia). The sound and visual design are superb, and the combat system is even better than Abyss was. I'm not sure about the plot... at 12 and a half hours in, it's unclear if the plot is simply meandering, or if I just haven't yet reached the crunch point where Tales stories suddenly expand to the expected world-endangering levels.


Tales of Vesperia eh? Would've gotten that at least by now were it not for Left 4 Dead's existence. hoho Still most likely to get it sometime in the future though, having enjoyed Symphonia and Abyss quite thoroughly.

As for that ToS OVA Yoshi mentioned, wow. Forgot they had that... Should probably check up on it again soon.

Does anyone have word about that Halo movie that has rumors saying it'll be in theatres this year?

I was able to find the English dub of the "Tales of Phantasia" OVA, so I'll watch it over the weekend.

I'm somewhat surprised that there isn't an English dub of the "Tales of Symphonia" OVA since the game had some anime cutscenes that were dubbed in English.

The Dejap version had some absolutely hilarious writing... sad that the translation was played fast and loose. The scene on the ship with Cress and Klaus discussing Arche cracked me up. The GBA's more official translation just didn't pack the same punch.

Keep in mind that the OVA is entirely new material, and is only loosely based on the game. From what I hear, Yggdrasill barely gets even a cameo, and he's not the Big Bad of the OVA.

For a Halo movie to be in theatres this year, it'd need to be at the tail end of production by now at the very least, if not well into post-production. The rumors are just that; rumors.

Yeah. From what I already saw of the OVA awhile back, I noticed it wasn't accurate enough as far as being based on the game.

As for the Halo movie being cancelled, I kinda hope so.

Yeah it sucks.

Just watched SF4 Collector's Edition anime...quality and story could've been better, but it is still nice to see the characters.

No SF anime can top the first one and the V series IMO.
