So I watched Hulk 2 last night, and it gave me a new appreciation for how strong some of the characters we debate in here really are. Nothing done in that movie plays up to Hulk's comic book canon strength, infact, most of it's sub-100 ton. A fight between characters like Kratos, Ganon, Link with the gauntlets/bracelet/whatever/steroidsInTP, Akuma, or even Dante.. It'd look even crazier than a pair of hulks tearing apart N.Y.C.
There is no hulk 2. the one your reffering to is The incredible Hulk(2008) it was a reboot of the shit hulk movie, The Hulk(2003)

Movie Hulk is weak though.

Comic Hulk is physically stronger than the collective physical strength of every character's verse you just named.

Videogames on a whole is weaker than comics by a substantial amount, anime is also stronger than videogames but still weaker than comics.

Probably because most powers and abilities in comics cannot be displayed on video games. Or perhaps text and pictures alone seem a bit lackluster so they have to make half the characters overpowered or ridiculous to actually draw attention.

Um, what? Of course they can, which ones cannot?

Overpowered and ridiculous? Overpowered is relative, Superman is overpowered compared to Captain America, but underpowered compared to Odin.

I dunno, galaxy busting and various reality warping, it may not be as easy to show that sort of thing in a game. Same with re-organising dimensions or closing them etc

Maybe the resources required to make it actually look good when beings do massive high powered feats are more than the developers would pay or put time into, maybe they think players would be overwhelmed or more improtantly, feel insignificant amongst so many powerful beings.

Or to put it simply, galaxy busting, reality warping, etc. in a game would probably make it too damn easy, and it's not like most games nowadays are getting any harder.

I myself can't even imagine a video game version of Hulk or Superman being anywhere as powerful as most of their comic incarnates without making it too easy for the player. 😬

considering he has to go against the likes of Anti Monitor, Brainiac, and parasite, it wouldn't be easy.

It'd make walls redundant. Programing that is hard.

Owait, characters too strong to care about doors are still confined by walls, and Wolverine is too.. Stupid limmited medium.

Sega for example, seems to like massive draw-ins with their hulk ultimate destruction ripoff Incredible hulk: The game.

Xenosaga may disagree.

Not really, although the feats are grand...They are not complex visually.

1. Depends on what you fought. And I was speaking storyline-wise. Not gameplay-wise.

2. Depends on what you fought once again.

True enough, but like ScreamPaste said, programming all that would be hard. Like with movies, comic characters have always been toned down in video games, which was what I was tryin' to get at.
I mean, has anyone seen any game or movie version of Superman be as powerful as he is in pre-crisis? Because I sure haven't.

Um, actually...

Which game/movie?

Videogames based on movies suck. The Incredible Hulk (not the Ultimate Destruction one) is awful, Transformers the game is terrible, and Terminator Salvation is a piece of crap. Who the heck would feel good spending $60 on a four hour game?

The Superman ones.

Superman in Returns lifted a miniature continent of Kryptonite with Kryptonite jabbed in his side. Not even PC Superman can claim this.

Superman Returns. That game sucks! Why the heck is a tornado the final boss? That's just stupid. I'm better off with Lex as the boss trying to get away on his chopper shooting RPGs made of kryptonite than deal with a tornado.

Did he not throw the continent into space also?

Wow 😐

Oh, that! Yeah, forgot all about that part (like I have most of the movie now), but yeah. You definitely got a point there dude.
Guess movie Supes' feats really are on par with that of the comics (or greater than rather), as opposed to movie Hulk. mmm

There was actually a game for that movie? lol Shows how much I know, though I still think Star Wars episode III is pretty much the best movie-based game out there. Also enjoyed the "Super" Star Wars trilogy for SNES, as it was pretty good for its time IMO, but when you look back at it now...
