I'm not gonna lie. That game looks like it sucks.Star Wars Episode III was indeed a real fun game.
Glad you agree about episode III. I especially loved using Grievous in that game's multiplayer... even though there was a limit on being able to use all 4 sabers at once ๐, but his back-breaker melee was still kick ass. haermm Also loved how challenging Cin Drallig was as a boss, but if only he had been in episode III the movie..
The longer it takes for game to be made(when production date is known) the longer it will be, but then again some people need to learn to pace themself and set it on a difficulty to their magnitude.
but overall it depends on the genre. first person shooters are naturally short, having amped for a multiplayer rather than a single player. RPGS/Action RPGs are naturally long do to leveling scale and more time being focus on the singleplayer. Action adventure games like LOZ, God of War, and DMC are usually dependent on the players playtimes and difficulty.
the average game should be at least 10 hours. There's also the fact that some companies focus too much on graphics, leading to the finish product to be short or missing something(glitches).

Resident evil 5 per say?
Game looks fantastic, loved every single moment of it but damn the single player is short as hell.
As for FPS's being naturally short well I wouldn't say that's always the case.
Originally posted by Neo Darkhalenwhen FPS don't have multiplayer they are longer. but mostly the ones with Multiplayer are usaully short. That or the Game devs focused too much on graphics instead of gameplay.

and we all know Game play>>>>>>graphics
(though at least the graphics it needs to be decent for the console per say)

Indeed, Bioshock is pretty long for a FPS, due to it having a single-player focus.
Indeed, it's also the best current example of gameplay, story and graphics all coming together and all tweaked to their finest, neither one feels left out.

True.
Originally posted by Neo DarkhalenCorrect, although I will admit that the graphics for the actual characters is probably the weakest aspect, although anyone who plays games for graphics is not a real gamer.

Also, I have all but one achievement for Bioshock. ๐

Ahh you never really see characters long enough to care, I also think it adds something, they look very doll like, makes them look rather creepy.
Oh and which one is that? and for the record I have all 51 biscuits ๐

Although I must admit I was also displeased how almost every character is just a cleaned up, remodeled version of the different Splicers in appearance(hell, based on some trailers, I think even Jack is), only Andrew Ryan(because he's Andrew fvcking Ryan) and Sander "Fvcking" Cohen(he actually refers to himself as this) are not subject to this.

2. The one where you beat Hard with no Vita Chambers. Have not tried yet honestly.

1) Ryan and Cohen are the only real characters you spend a fair while looking at, although I have seen a hack showing Tenenbaum and she does look exactly like a splicer, I also believe Fontaines is just a lead splicer, so yeah in that regard true.
2) It's not at all as hard as it sounds, just regular saves do the trick
now if you don't mind.....I want to take the ears off but I can't, IT'S MY CURSE, I WANT TO TAKE THE EARS OFF!! PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEAA-A-ASE!!!!!!

Ah, the Wild Bunny.
"What can I do with this one, Aphrodite? *begins stabbing the splicer in frustration* SHE WON'T - STAY - STILL! *stops stabbing* I want to make them beautiful, but they always turn out wrong! *points to three Splicers suspended from the ceiling* That one, too fat! This one, too tall! This one... too SYMMETRICAL! And now-What's this, Goddess? An intruder! He is ugly! UGLY! UGLY! UGLY!!! *pulls out a machine gun and opens fire* Look at you, HIDEOUS!!"

To be fair though, that's just an early 90's game. The boss fight with the Emperor was epic for its time period ๐, but meh. You're entitled to your opinion too.Glad you agree about episode III. I had fun playing Grievous as well. I also like that one level where I played as Darth Vader and fought Ben Kenobi. When I played that level, I actually thought to myself that Darth Vader should appear in future fighter games. In 2008, he appears in SCIV. I was surprised.

That scene gave me a "WTF" moment. Bioshock is twisted and that's what makes the game good.
