Also, what's with everyone talking about how awesomely intelligent they are?

I'm glad i'm not the only one who was thinking that. Just saying it disproves it.

I've heard the "I don't care about writing properly on the internet" argument before, and it is quite simply a load. Intelligent people use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation simply because that's how it's meant to be done.

Admittedly i don't need to write this next part, but i just want to.

That is ridiculous. No offense to you in any way General, i mean you no disrespect but one word; Generalization.

The person who in my life i would consider the most intelligent doesn't write in correct English. You know, thinking about it, I'd go to far as to call him a genius.

Being correct and punctual on the interest is certainly preferable, it's even a rule on KMC if i recall correctly. However, it does not in anyway prove/disprove a persons intelligence.

I leave myself open to an attack on my intelligence when i say this, but it was only a few months ago i learn that the sentence:
"None of them work"
is incorrect. Apparently the correct sentence of that meaning is:
"None of them works"
None means; not one. So you have to use works, not work.

I don't really consider myself unintelligent. But that still sounds funny to me.

She is actually right.

Some people do not bother to use proper grammar on the internet, emphasizing speed in typing rather than accuracy, and some are just simply lazy.

Now, personally, I make an effort to use proper grammar online, even in such things as MSN.

But that is my choice, to say one is unintelligent simply due to their grammar on an online forum is ludicrous.

Yea if i know i mispelled something i kind of have to go back and fix it. may be an ocd thing, i dont know, lol.

And how long does it take for a name change to occur?

I must point out here that "none" can be either singular or plural, and in the context of the noun "them," it is indeed correct to use "work" to match the plural.

I just don't understand that, though. If you know how to type properly, you should be able to type quickly while still doing so accurately. I mean, it takes effort for me to actually not use the right spelling, grammar, punctuation, and so on while typing. Because doing it right the first time is what I'm used to. And I can type very quickly while doing so accurately.

So...yeah. I just can't understand that mindset.

This.

Maybe some smart person just never really learned how to type, and didnt really bother to learn.

Same with me.

But not everyone is used to doing it like that, regardless of intellect. Some are more used to say,"Doing it wrong."

In other news, my lights keep flickering and it's really pissing me off ermm

I have been reading up some info on Star Fox, and have discovered some very impressive feats from their ships, the Arwings.

I am trying to think of making a space battle with them in it, but am unsure what to put them up against. Any suggestions?

Typical Americans, butchering our language.... (joke)

No.

You can't say "one of them work one of them don't"

Use none where you would use one.

All those lights on the table, none of them works.

It's like people who say between you and I thinking their being impressive. When it's actually between you and me.

Well, to be fair not everyone is quite as good as you are at that. I mean, i frequently make mistakes (as you can tell by now I'm certain).

All i will say is what i was told. Maybe this only applies in games, maybe you can take it out of that context. Doesn't truly matter.

"What's the problem when you can understand what i am writing?"

Which i feel is a reletively* fair point. Now, i hate text talk and i can barely understand it. But i think it goes either way. I hate being corrected all the time when you know what i am talking about. It's unnecessary and it proves that person needs to have the log removes from their ass. I know sometimes for some people it's just a habit, but when you know that person is doing it just because he's a smug git *grrr, clenches fist*

Just yesterday i was playing DOW2 and we were getting our butts handed to use in the form of various explosives, and my ally seems to be able to find the time to correct my grammar..... for me that is the case and point.

*key word, i hate it when it's ridiculous. For me to be able to read it in the same or less time than it took the person to write it, it has to be at least 70% English.

halo.

Does any ship in a fleet have lasers that can puncture directly through the crust of a planet? Cause Gorgon, a boss from Star Fox 64, can do that, and Arwings tank those.

Although I admit Halo was the first option I thought of.

Well to be fair and honest to my reference it's out of convience.

Though he spoke like it on msn too so i guess it became and can become a habit. A bad one admitidly.

I don't think Halo's got anythign on Arwings tbh. You could try pitting the Arwings against the protoss?

I have no idea what that is.

But do not underestimate Halo tech. The Covenant makes casual use of planet glassing for instance.

Arwings are the ships in Starfox.

Yeah...I know. I was talking about the Protoss.

Also, Arwings can battle on the surface of a star, a red dwarf to be exact. Unsure on how hot that is, but meh.

Protoss are from StarCraft, they casually glassed planets, used dimensional warping, and have psionic powers.

...Yeah, depending on the magnitude of the dimensional and psionic powers, I think they would stomp Arwings.

Also, can a single ship glass planets, or what?
