Earth-Last Stand

Derek walked over to one of the technicians. "How many seats are left on the shuttle?" The technician looked at the ground not wanting to make eye contact. "You're the first survivors to make it here." Derek just sighed and turned around to head over to all of the others.

The two ran at top speed into the base, shutting the gates behind them.

Dante chained the gate shut, motioning Elena on ahead. "Go! I'll be there in a minute!"

Elena stopped for a minute, then ran on ahead. "I'll send some backup to help you!"

Derek heard the commotion and ran to the armory where he reappeared with an assault rifle and an ammo belt. By this time he had changed out of his civilain clothes and into marines fatigues. Running as fast as he could he fired into the darkness blindly trying to see if he could scare whatever it was away. "What's going on here!? What's after you?"

jacen heard the commoton and grabbed his shotgun and ran in derek's direction waiting until he got a visual to fire "wat is it?" jacen asked

"No idea.." Derek stopped firing long enough to see if he could get a visual. "If it's another of those big things then we won't stand a chance.."

Elena pointed back at the gate, gasping words between breaths for air. "Dante... alone... needs... backup... whole pack..." She took a deep breath, then composed herself a bit more. "Dante, my backup, is alone at the gate. He needs backup against a whole pack of those... things!" She looked between the two. "Where's your armory? I need some supplies."

"Ah damnit.. Armory is back at the base. I think it is the forth door on your left!" Derek ran towards the gate untill he saw Dante. "Where are they and how many!?" Derek stayed in a defensive stance waiting to see aynthing.

jacen ran and scaled the fence drawing his sword as he jumped down and then cut the chain to let derek through "it might be suicidal, but if we don't go it will be homcidal" jacen said slashing a straw infected cutting the head off "told you it's useful" jacen commented

"You're going to get us killed!" Derek didn't want to go through the gate but losing survivors that were already at the pad would not be a good idea. "Damnit." Dere charged out into the open road and started to take shots at the infected that were nearby.

"i think we have just as much chance of surviving out here than back in the base" jacen stated jumping on the back of one infected and decapitating it, then chop up multiple more in one swing "the closer they are easier they are to take out" jacen said enjoying the fighting

((Remember if you only take out the body or don't destroy the brain then in the infection forms or "contaminators" will just attack you and they are much faster))

"Well look who it is!" Derek said pointing at the large "beast" heading directly for their postition. Derek pulled out a grenade from hsi bag and prepped the grenade launcher on the end of his assualt rifle. "Not this time *****!" He clicked the button and watched as the grenade soared through the air and hit the beast right in it's mouth. It layed motionless but Derek did not take his eyes off of it.

"nice shot" jacen said cutting one of the infecteds head in half "you know in canada these things are alot easier becuase half of them are drunk" jacen said

"You know, I've never been to Canada and if they are there then I'll never go." Derek let out a chuckle and opened fire on an oncoming infected. The contaminator crawled out of the corpses mouth and Derek took no time in opening fire on it's head, Killing the creature and turning the head to slag. "I'm running low"

jacen tossed derek his SIG and continued to slash at anything "i used to live there then the neighbors got a wierd fetish for infecting people" jacen joked although that is wat happenned

"We can't keep this up too much longer! I'll run out of ammo and this much action can't be good for that blade!" Derek opened fire into more of them.

"we have to find that kid" jacen said cutting down an infected

Something that Derek never expected to see was happening right before his eyes. An infected had walked up and was coordinating others. It also was carrying a pistol in it's right hand but was not firing it very accurately. A blurry image crossed infront of Derek as he sat there staring at the intelligent creature and before he could do anything he was laying on his back with an invisible creature on top of him. Thinking quickly he put the assault rifle to it's chest and pulled the trigger. The creature was relatively unharmed saved for but a few bullet holes scattered about. Now fully visible the creature fled off into the darkness.

Damien dropped from the sky ((yea he does that alot)) he took out his daggers "What did i tell you d*****" he stood there smirking "so what are you going to do now" he said in a darker tone "YOU JUST LET THESE THINGS COME IN AND HAVE A BITE" he started to sound commanding "I CANT BELEIVE YOU HUMANS"

"We have the situation under control thank you. Mow go back inside and throw you're temper tantrum somewhere else." Derek scored a head shot just as head said that.

Damien looked at him "under control these things are everywhere and you have it under control" he started laughing "do you know how many planets said that about other things and...." he then turned around "i ...have to go that way for some reason..." he said running and slicing threw whatever was in-front of him
