Well, FeceMan is right that the Christian god's name should be capitalized. Cause...well, it's his name. Of course I assume in most cases you could claim you were just talking about the metaphysical concept of that god who is called God and be grammatically more or less correct.

Well, that may be true, but it is used as his name now. Like you capitalize Allah or Rama or Zeus, "God" is capitalized when talking about the god it refers to.

No arguments here. As soon as the christian god drops me an email with his name in it, I'll start using capital letters when referring to him in writing.
