Again, "God" is a title and distinguishes the Judeo-Christian God from other deities. It's best to leave it as-is to keep this distinction.
Furthermore, all other deities actually have names that are common to English. YHVH does not--He has titles. We capitalize the names of other deities; we capitalize the titles of YHVH (LORD, God, El Shaddai, Jehovah, etc.) because His name happens to be unpronounceable.
